Really bummed about this one. We heard such good things and this one fell flat. The restaurant is right on the main street of Point Reyes Station so a great hustling and bustling spot.
The food is where things went downhill. We ordered the bread basket of only popovers and requested that they please be brought out hot; the waitress said will do. They were brought out shortly after and they were barely warm. We were all hungry, so we ate them, but it seemed very weird that asking for hot popovers was blatantly ignored/dismissed. The turkey chili came out and it was not even warm, and the cornbread was so incredibly dense. The shrimp lettuce wraps had limited flavor and were super small. The Caesar salad with chicken was substantial with a large piece of protein so highly recommend that. At the end of our meal when sharing with the waitress that the chili came out cold, she sort of mocked us when we mentioned she should share with the kitchen that the soup came out cold (in no restaurant do you serve chili cold). It was a weird meal and we were so looking forward to our meal only to be extremely disappointed.

A very cozy but not quite hole in the wall restaurant that specializes in sourcing food locally. I had the steelhead which was scrumptious and paired well with the mushrooms. Parking is a bit of a hassle, you might have to walk from the other side of town to get here on a busy night. The ambience was subdued but cheerful.

Station House Cafe provided a delightful lunch experience. The fresh west coast oysters were a highlight, and the freshness of the salad was remarkable. Both our burger and sandwich were delicious and well-prepared. It's a great place to refuel and enjoy a quality meal. Has a laid back feel great for a relaxing stop! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

A very pretty restaurant with incredibly talented servers. The ambiance was a 10/10.
I just wish the food matched the vibe.
My Risotto was undercooked and kind of crunchy. The lettuce wrap appetizers were very bland, and I’m almost certain the bread pudding was microwaved; it came way too hot. I give the Mac and cheese croquettes and cocktails a 5/5. Absolutely delicious!

Beyond a diner for breakfast. Everything is a step above. Bread and butter is fresh bread and rich organic butter. Eggs are wonderful. The ideal of a diner.

Service and atmosphere were perfect.
Food can be s little better.
Fried oysters were great with tartar sauce! Recommend!
Clam chowder does not cater to my taste. Somehow watery and almost no clams.
The price was high based on the portion.

I guess maybe i didn’t get the best experience because lunch menu is so limited. Dinner menu looks great!

Newly renovated space with high ceilings and an appreciation for nature and the history of the locale. Looks like they were training new servers while we were there. They were all very friendly and responsive. The food fell below my expectations, though. The bread plate felt old. The Niçoise salad was very short on fish. The grilled asparagus was the best of all our choices, alongside the fresh oysters, of course.
