Steve Roberts and his tennis staff are high quality coaches. Was searching around for awhile at various tennis facilities for my 6yr old to start tennis. Most facilities is more geared towards recreational and just playing around. I really liked Brookside because it is more focused on tennis fundamentals on strokes. Plus Coach B, still makes it fun for all the kids. It's impressive the level of patience they have to teach little kids. Highly recommend for sure.

Brookside Tennis Training is outstanding. My son has done tennis w/several programs in the South Bay area and also in southern California. By far, Brookside has provided the best training with the quality of coaching and the mix of drills and competitive play. My son’s play has improved so much in just a few months with Brookside.

Coach Steve & Coach Brendan & Coach Aoife are outstanding in their professionalism, knowledge, teaching skills, and balance of having high expectations and being very supportive. Their teaching approach emphasizes mastering foundational good form and then building technique on top of that. They give meaningful individual guidance/attention and correction during the group drills and play.

I also appreciate that at Brookside, the atmosphere is such that kids are very friendly with each other and have a nice camaraderie. They play at a high level, have fun together, and are supportive of one another.

The Brookside tennis facilities are very nice with very well-maintained courts and plenty of parking spaces right next to the courts which makes drop-off & pick-up convenient.

Highly recommend Brookside Tennis! Steve and the whole coach team are super professional and just nice & chill people in general. I started playing tennis as an adult and not many places provide serious systematic training for adult players, but Brookside is one of the few. I’ve been having a great time here and will continue to improve my game with them!

Our son first joined a local club for lessons and played JTT for over a year at the age of 8. While he seemed to be able to hit and would occasionally win some matches, we know his fundamentals were lacking in every aspect. We’ve thus searched high and low for a place that provides systematic, well-structured instruction and has major focus on fundamentals. We learned about Brookside Tennis Training from a tennis friend who spoke highly of their solid training and were instantly amazed by how their philosophy aligns with ours and knew that we are at the right place.
The team led by Steve utilizes Great Base Tennis Education curriculum. The dedication to every detail of the fundamentals is truly something I’d never seen out there, as most places would jump to tactics that mainly aim for quick win once kids can hit. Here the pros put in every bit of effort to help the kids build up and cement whatever it needs to become a real player down the road. Programs are rigorously tailored for different levels. In clinics there are 2-3 coaches working with divided groups, so every kid gets sufficient amount of attention and practice. While the clinics can heavily focus on technique-based drills, coaches do an excellent job incorporating fun points play to keep kids engaged and challenged. Our son started off in Development but soon moved to Challenger starting this May. Less than half year in we are seeing him not only making significant progress in his technique but also becoming disciplined and motivated on and off the court. He used to like “playing” tennis, now he is enthusiastic and loving this sport full-heartedly. Brookside Tennis is definitely the place for any player who wants to bring their game to the next level.

My son Andy has been training at Brookside for the past few months, and the improvement in his game has been remarkable. The coaches are fantastic—they're not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and supportive. They make sure to tailor the training to Andy's specific needs, which has really helped him develop both his technique and confidence on the court.

We have really enjoyed working with Steve and the rest of the staff at Brookside Tennis Training. My son started taking lessons in 6th grade and made his high school tennis team this past spring. I appreciate the focus on learning proper technique and how it is continually reinforced through drills and match play. My son has improved greatly and just loves playing tennis.

After many decades away from the game, I started working with Brookside Tennis a year or so ago and have so enjoyed getting back into tennis. The adult clinics as well as private and group lessons have been really helpful. They encouraged me to play USTA which has been a great way to meet new friends and improve my game.

I highly recommend Brookside Tennis Academy for both youth and adults looking to improve their tennis games.
