Alexis' Zoom, online Pilates sessions are almost as effective as hers at the gym. She gently and professionally guides you though different moves with each session. I feel so much better after each session where all parts of my body have been challenged. She is providing such an essential service in the midst of COVID-19, which has me self-quarantined in our house. I especially appreciate her sessions in the rain that we've had recently when I'm unable to take my self-distancing walk.

Thank you Alexis. You make living with the virus so much better.

I have enjoyed taking Pilates classes with Alexis Pittmon off and on for several years. I have taken Buff Bones group classes, which included Pilates mat exercises as well as exercises with weights and other props. I have also had several sessions of private instruction with Alexis that included both Pilates mat exercise and work on the Reformer. Working with Alexis is always a hugely fun experience as she brings her enthusiasm, breadth of knowledge, and creativity into each class she teaches. Alexis’s love of movement and genuine fascination with anatomy and body mechanics is inspiring, as is her playful approach to exercise. While classes are always challenging and leave me feeling like I have addressed strengthening in much neglected areas, class is such a fun experience that it is almost like she sneaks in the work, keeping things fresh with new exercises and variations each time. I especially appreciate Alexis’s extensive knowledge of working around injuries. I have had neck, shoulder, and knee issues but she can always think of myriad ways to continue to exercise while injured. She also offers helpful suggestions for safely strengthening to rehabilitate injuries. Alexis has designed custom home exercise programs for me to continue to work on problem areas and maintain strength at home. Options are always provided for all fitness and age levels in her group classes, movement cues are clear and concise, and Alexis frequently checks in with her students to confirm their comfort level and good form to ensure a good workout and positive experience.

After having a stiff back for two weeks, I went to pilates with Alexis and we got it all back into place.

Miss Pittman is a Very professional and Very friendly instructor. I wish I had started classes with her earlier.
