I could write novels about how much my partner and I love this place — matched only by how much our PUP loves this place.

Juniper practically sprints out of the car when we pull into the driveway, straight up to the door. Inside, she’s greeted by familiar, friendly faces who clearly love what they do. The managers, Carla and Megan, are true professionals, and every one of their employees seems happy to be there. The facilities are well kept, and the dogs are vetted, supervised, and tended to appropriately. The staff are extremely attentive, and keep us informed if there is any unusual behavior.

We have had bad experiences before at another, larger place nearby. Felt like we had to drag our scared, shaking dog inside every time. It wasn’t long before we called it quits and found Almost Home. Thank god we did, because it really is just that! We feel so thankful to have a place we trust with our favorite, furry family member.

This is by far the BEST option for doggie daycare. I’ve been taking my lab there for nearly 2 years now and we’ve grown to love all of the staff there. What stands out the most is the professionalism amongst the staff, the CLEANLINESS as well. From the entrance to the lobby to the area where the dogs play-it’s freaking CLEAN!!
Carla, the owner has made some incredible improvements to the daycare as well. She & her staff ensure a safe environment for dogs of all sizes and have a great system for vetting dogs that are a good fit and those that would not. My dog is excited when we pull up and always comes home pooped!

Absolute gem of a facility. I’d heard great things and then brought my boy in and knew we were in a safe place. My dog is my life and to leave him was nerve wracking (for me, not him lol ) but the staff, especially Megan, made the experience quick and felt right. I came to collect him after his assessment and he was so happy and exhausted from the new friends he played with. Definitely found our home away from home.

I've been waiting a while to write this review, because I wanted to be sure about it. We started our puppy here before he was neutered. They really liked him, and he loved to be there. They were very clear they would watch his behavior - they kicked him out at a point where he was getting too "humpy" and aggressive with other dogs - we understood and appreciated that. We got him neutered, and several weeks later, we brought him back.

He absolutely loves it there, and the staff are super friendly, very knowledgeable, and clearly take good care of the dogs there. We are happy with our choice. We looked at some others, but although this one was a tiny bit more expensive, it felt better- less chaotic, cleaner, more oriented to the dogs care.

I highly recommend them!

Our dog never wants to leave! I am so happy I found this place. There are a lot of doggie day care places in Sonoma county, but this one just feels different. My little pup has the best time here. All of the staff are so friendly and kind. No one ever seems stressed or worried. The people and dogs coming in and out are the same, super friendly, kind and neither dog nor human is stressed or amped up. That says so much! The dogs get a lot more human interaction here, and they seem to make sure that dogs are paired with the right group, not just for their size, but for their temperament. When I come to pick up my little girl she just wants to go back in for more fun. She always comes out tired and happy. We love you Almost Home! Thank you for what you do every day!

We are giving this rating on behalf of our dogs. We went on vacation over the holidays with our 2 dogs, had contacted the daycare prior to coming up - to try and make sure everything went smoothly, and of course on our end it didn't. But they were incredibly patient and understanding with us. There is a 2 hour trial period to determine if your dog is a good fit and gets along well with everyone, beyond that, you pay. They are affordable and all of the staff is beyond nice.
Our little guys had no problems leaving or coming back, which says a lot as one of our dogs HATES being alone and the other refuses to enter buildings associated with unpleasant experiences.

My dog has been going to Almost Home since she was a puppy [5 years] At 1st she has some behavioral issues, but the AH staff worked w/ her & she got past them.
Dogs are well-supervised by people who really like dogs. They are sorted by size and, to some extent, temperament, into 3 separate play areas.
When I leave my dog there, I feel confident that she will be safe and have a fun, energetic play day.
