The brothers working the counter are super friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere, Rlly cool selection of guitars and amps that you wont see. Got my guitar set up here and it’s perfect, they'll even adjust it once the neck warps due to temperature changes for free. Planning to get lessons here soon, only heard great things about the instructor.

Took my 1996 Jackson warrior to Vez guitar. David did an incredible job with it and it plays phenomenal!! He was very reasonable with the price as well. Mindy was phenomenal and kept me informed of what was happening. I will definitely take other guitars I own to Vez guitar, specially because the shop is local to me as well.

I really wanted to do something special for my older daughters birthday (stepdaughter) I took her dad’s base guitar here to get it restring (he’s no longer with us) and I thought this would be an awesome gift. I called first and this young man that answered was great with providing information that I needed, as I walked in they were very polite and attentive a lot better than guitar center to be honest as well as better pricing. I definitely will keep coming back with the rest of our instruments, as we do have 3 more guitars and a ukulele. Also my wife runs 2 music schools in the area and I will recommend Vez to them.

Most of David Chavez's students will tell you, this guy is hilarious, patient, and extremely talented; if you pull me aside and ask how do I like being a student at Vez Guitar Academy, well I would say I am very happy my friend stumbled across Dave's ad on the paper one summer day, waved it over my face and called the number herself because I refused to call myself.

I hadn't intend on getting lessons, let alone keep paying for over a year of private lessons, but Vez Guitar Academy is currently a permanent stay on my schedule and I have enjoyed every moment of learning experience under Dave's mentoring and teaching. The moment I actually and finally spoke to Dave on the phone I thought "yeah go book an appointment" and we started from there.

It was a rought start for me. I had very miniscule exposure to music theory but love all sorts of genre it has to offer. I listen to most, from the sad melodies of country to the imaginative improvisations of jazz. I also have a crazy schedule and that often leaves little to no time for practice. Dave will push to get some practice in, because that is the only way to get the basics under your belt, but he understands that everyone has different lifestyles and schedules. As for his style of teaching, he will always give you more than you think you can handle, but in the end, like I had discovered, it all made sense after a few more sessions. Never forget to ask questions and ask how to improve. Just like any other things in life, your results will depend on how much time and effort you put in yourself.

During my own sessions, I'd struggle and get frustrated, but Dave's ok with that. Get your frustrations out, ask questions, ask for suggestions and Dave will patiently point out what you can do better and suddenly after a few more tries, it clicks, if doesn't then he tells you to keep trying.

So if you are looking to find a place that will guide you to become an amazing guitar player, you have found the right place and teacher for an amazing price too.
