The best way to see Trona's historical relics is to reserve a tour for a group. That way you don't waste the volunteers time, who by the way were very accommodating to us. There is the old Fire Station with some really old fire trucks, along with fire fighting equipment. The History House with the Caboose and Railway Museum. Lastly is the Old Guest House Museum with photos and documents relating to Trona's mining past. They also have a gift shop. There is also an archive library for doing research, but they only open on the first Saturday of each month if I remember correctly.

I thank Mr. Ben for an excellent Old Guest House Museum tour. Ben's knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm for the Trona's history are impressive. Ben, you made our day. Thank you for the other tour, too. It touched our hearts ❤️❤️. It is one of our most excellent days filled with history. Atka and Peter. 10-05-24.

Visited on my way through to Death Valley. Was incredibly curious about Trona and boy did this place not disappoint! Got to tour each room with the wonderful Lit who spent nearly 2 hours telling me story after story of their artifacts. Truly a great experience in an otherwise unusual small town.

I found many displays of Trona history of places and people. Great photographs as well as items of historical interest. It was clean and very well organized in multiple rooms. There was a little gift shop where there were cups, magnets and canvas tote bags with pictures of sights like the Pinnacles, fish rocks and the iconic milage sign that everyone loves. Worth the stop for interested individuals.

They are supposed to be open certain hours but when I went they were actually closed. It’s unprofessional to say your going to be open but actually closed… too bad - hopefully it will get fixed…

My father (Larry Nault) and I enjoyed visiting with Sharon and Lit Brush during the 77th annual gem show. We learned something new about Trona visiting the exibit rooms and discovered names of co-workers from 60 years ago. Glad to see the plant is expanding, full steam ahead!

The Old Guest House Museum is full of the history of Searles Valley, the mining companies that have kept the town alive, and Trona"s colorful past.
The volunteers that staff the museum cheerfully share a wealth of information about Searles Valley and the surrounding area. A great place to stop a and stretch your legs when passing through Trona on your way to Death Valley,
