Awesome splash pad that is great for kids of all ages. Many different water attractions that spray water that kids can play with whether it be stepping on them, running through, or sitting next to and playing. My 21 month old loves it! There are tables and gazebos along with cement lounge chairs and umbrellas. On a hot day, you can expect that the tables and gazebos will be taken up as well as the lounge chairs so it is best to arrive early to get a good spot to make home base. Enjoy!!

Great place to take kids for some free cooling off fun after getting off work and to burn energy.
Second time coming here and it's been a good place to let kids run amuck and be kids. If you're a helicopter parent or overly sensative to kids having non-structured play you may want to try another facility. This is kinda old school freedom for a lot of young kids with parents chilling in the background talking.
The water smells like chlorine both times we've been here which is a good sign its properly maintained for those worried about it.

Way bigger than I thought, probably about a dozen covered picnic tables within the fences of the splash area and also huge cement lounge chairs with huge umbrellas for the adults. A smaller water feature area for the smaller kids. It was amazing for the fam to get wet and have fun there on a Wednesday night and then head over to the kiddie land area around 6pm where there was live music and food at a grassy area. I was told the music is every Wednesday in the summer what a great day for us all ?

We went to Anderson River Park today for a cross country meet for my 10 year old grandson. The school used google maps to identify the spot where the race would be. The River Splash is incorrectly marked on this map.

Gets kind of seedy around sunset.
We stop for a few minutes on our way home from grocery shopping or running errands in Redding.
The kids love it. Plenty of space for them to run around and get some energy out.

I was so excited to go here because I hadn't taken my 3-year-old out anywhere because of obvious everything going on last couple years.... Three days after visiting the little water area for kids my son ended up catching hand foot and mouth disease ? I mean yes I know it's a public place but you would think they would take precautions to keep it cleaner considering it is meant for little children... I mean go at your own risk. My son hadn't been near any other little ones nor had he been in a public place where little ones had been. There had been no other way that he could have gotten it besides at this park....

Side note the best thing about that place was the sweetest ice cream man ?

Fun park, lots of people on a Friday, less so on a tuesday.

Lots of different sorts of water features. Big fountains for kids to run through and a small running river for the smaller kids to sit in. Kids and parents seem to be respectful to each other, a rarity in some parks.

The water is recycled but chlorinated. So beware! Things can still spread through the water, don't let your kids drink it.

Big open fields nearby and tennis courts.
