We attended the pottery class on October 5, and today, on December 15, we received a message about picking up our order. However, the bowl we received was broken. I paid $200 for this, and frankly, I’m appalled. As the provider of the service, it is your responsibility to ensure the product is properly completed and usable. When you are present during the process and see that something has gone wrong, it should only take a minute to correct, especially before finalizing the piece.

Instead, I was given a cracked bowl after two and a half months of waiting. This is completely unacceptable, and I’m left with a defective item that is unusable. This would make for a terrible gift—perhaps for someone who eats cereal without milk, but that’s not the point.

I expect this issue to be addressed immediately. If it is not, I will be sharing my negative experience with my audience on social media, as this level of service is completely unprofessional.

The two hour class was perfect amount of time for a beginner to get acquainted with the basics of pottery. The instructor was exceptional, providing clear and detailed instructions throughout the session. Even though many of us had never touched clay before, the instructor's guidance made it easy to follow along and create something with our own hands. The rooftop setting added a unique and calming ambiance to the class.

Wonderful experience with Bitter Root Pottery. My best friend and I did a last minute beginner adult class with Haley and we had a blast! Great price, easy to follow, and a lot of fun! Highly recommend for a new activity, beginner friendly! You get a little messy but thats the best part, brings out the kid in all of us!

This was a new experience for me and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and educational throughout the pottery making process. The aesthetic and views here are beautiful. I took this as a solo class and made friends along the way. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in town. Bonus points for the street name being that of my late Grandmother ?

I actually feel like I’m being punkd at this point. My credit cards were stolen out of my wallet and used at the Apple Store at the grove the day I had my private balcony class(cameras were conveniently down that day and it was like pulling teeth to get answers) finally got to pick up my pottery today and my teal glaze is white and both of our bowls have giant chips out of the sides that weren’t there when we threw our pottery. Would literally never recommend this place.

This place was so much fun! I took my partner to the beginner's class as a date night and we had so much fun! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The instructor was good at teaching and often helped when one of us had trouble. Highly recommend for a group event or a date niggt

Had my first pottery making class today. My friend hosted us for her birthday and it was such a great experience. Our educator was ‘Em and she was amazing. Her skills are top tier and I can’t wait to visit again.

What a great experience! My daughter and I wanted to try something new, so we decided to try a pottery class. We googled pottery classes, and Bitter Root popped up! When we went, we did have difficulty finding parking but did find a spot on the street. When we entered, I loved the vibe of the place. It felt like we were going to get dirty and make a mess, which I was down for. We were greeted and helped right away. My daughter and I put our aprons on and picked a spot to sit. The class had about maybe 10/12 other people there. It was small, which I enjoyed. Our instructor was super friendly and very, very patient. She went step by step and stopped to help when needed. The whole experience was very great, especially experiencing it with my daughter. It took about 3-4 weeks for our masterpieces to be ready. We were so anxious about how the final look of our bowls would turn out. I finally received a call that our items were ready to be picked up. My daughter and I were surprised at how great our boo turned out! So worth the wait! We will definitely come back.
