I’ve trained at many different BJJ gyms as a traveler. From the very first day Coach Chris and Coach Gabriel have treated me and other newcomers like family.

Coach Chris encourages everyone to discard their ego, forget bad culture that other gyms have, and train hard. You won’t be in your comfort zone here, but that’s what Jiu Jitsu is about.

The class format includes stand up, wrestling, judo, and jiu jitsu to be well rounded. All the instructors are happy to break down specifics with you as well.

Most gyms focus on technique and belts, AOE is about work ethic, community, and passion for the game. 🤙🏻

From day one, Chris made me feel like a part of the team. When you walk in, everyone greets each other by name, and there's a genuine sense of support for every person who trains here. There's no in-group/out-group mentality—each individual is truly valued. This kind of positive atmosphere is incredibly valuable and so rare to find. Art of Entanglement is a real gem, and a treasure.

I had been searching for a place like AOE for a long time since living on the peninsula. I have a daughter who is autistic and a husband who was in need of friendship and camaraderie, especially during “his solo working out” at the gym.

Chris and his beautiful family have created a place for Everyone. He is not only a very talented athlete but he is a beautiful human being that God has placed him where and when He is needed during a time when All people need active fun lifestyles, with love and respect.

We are truly blessed to have AOE on the peninsula. They go above and beyond. It is worth every penny and then some. I hope and pray he and his family do well and are gifted beyond as they should be! Sign up! You have nothing to loose, and Everything to Gain 🤍🪽🤍

An excellent gym filled with good people. Tried Jiu Jitsu on a whim when an old friend told me to come check it out and have been going back ever since. Even as someone with absolutely zero grappling experience, I felt welcomed and cared for right away. Chris is an awesome person and does a great job teaching the sport to all his students. The facility is very nice and clean as well. 10/10

Amazing Training Experience at Art of Entanglement!

Training at Art of Entanglement has been nothing short of incredible! I’ve had the opportunity to train with some of the best, including the current #3 in the world in the Master division, which has elevated my game to new levels. The vibe in the gym is always positive, welcoming, and motivating.

One of the standout features is the kids’ program it’s amazing to see how engaged and excited the kids are during class. The coaches make it super fun while keeping them focused, and the progress they make is inspiring to watch. If you’re looking for a place to train for both adults and kids, this is the spot! Highly recommend!

My first No -Gi class training during my first holiday to the USA that surprised me in so many ways with a professional instructor and creative class structure.

The warm up was a mixed of dynamic fictional yoga/animal movement that reminded me of my training with an Indian Kushti/Freestyle wrestler training when he came to train with my team in Singapore; which is great for mobilising the joints, strengthen the ligaments and muscles while keeping the heart rate at zone 2.

It was followed by 2 rounds of stand up hand fighting exercises/drills then we jumped right into end positional games (guard passing, back mount) and then we jumped right into sparring

All that happened in 2 hours.

I love how everyone had a learning & training mindset keeping the games light and fun.

Would love to come back again when I’m in town.
And I the instructor is only a blue belt who just got promoted. He did a great job transferring the structure from the head coach Chris. And if they didn’t tell me in the beginning he’s a blue belt I would have thought he was a seasoned purple based on how he led the team.

Lots of love from a little Singapore boy… 🙆🏻🙆🏻

Started my jiu-jitsu journey at A.O.E. about seven months ago. From the first phone call, I knew this place had something different. Coach Chris, who answered, came across as genuine, knowledgeable, and approachable. He’s outgoing, family-oriented, and completely authentic—no B.S. or false promises here.

The academy itself has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to stay motivated. The higher belts are incredibly supportive, always willing to lend a hand and share their expertise. The sport of jiu-jitsu has a way of drawing you in, but it’s the people here that truly make you want to stick around. Many of the students, including the head coach, are active competitors who train and succeed in some of the most prestigious tournaments. This means you’re learning from experienced practitioners who truly know what it takes to excel at the highest level.

Whether you’re looking to compete, enroll your children in the kids’ classes, or simply get a great workout, there is something here for everyone.

Highly reccomend you come and check out the culture and community at Art of Entanglement. It’s a special thing .

My daughter is 4 years old and she has not missed one day with coach Christopher and Gabriel(we are a month in)

I’ve enjoyed watching my little girl build confidence and have watched her do things I didn’t even know she was capable of. She has learned sportsmanship and has build great bonds with her classmates and coaches.

Coach Chris knows how to keep the kids engaged with fun games that also teach the fundamentals of jiu jitsu that we take and practice at home. I admire both Chris and Gabriel’s patience with the kiddo’s they really are amazing!

Coach Christopher and his wonderful team make you feel like part of the family. He is really the best coach you want your little ones learning from. If you haven’t gone in for a trial yet you are missing out! Don’t miss the opportunity to become part of the AOE family!

a plus for us is that he is also trilingual he speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese
