All three of my children attend the Kumon Center in Atascadero, and are enrolled in the Reading and Math programs. Kyoko Ellis is the proprietor and instructor, and has a kind, consistent, and peaceful disposition. She is a patient teacher, and facilitates a learning environment where students are accountable for their own success. Kumon teaches children far more than traditional academics. Kumon teaches children about discipline, perseverance, and commitment. The legacy of a Kumon education is having the confidence to succeed in life despite adversity. Kyoko Ellis has made an incredible contribution to our local community, and I thank her for all that she has done for my family.

Kumon is an excellent source of learning, it is not necessarily a tutoring center but rather a source for children to learn advanced reading and math. It's work at your own pace, and each child is individualized, Mrs. Ellis, the instructor is awesome with all kids. She is respectful to all. Her helpers are good and the center is kept quiet so your child can concentrate without distraction. My grandson goes there to advance in his math and reading and home up two grades in math and three grades in reading. My grand daughter also goes there and she was very low in her reading, in fact she was held back for her lack of reading abilities. This year she is doing great, she's at grade level and doing amazing. This place is an awesome place for kids to learn.

My children excelled in Kumon with Kyoko. She is very kind and encouraging to all her students. Kyoko has been teaching Kumon math and reading for many years. She has great experience working with children and adults. It’s obvious to me as a Kumon parent that Kyoko takes pride in her students success.

Our Kumon experience was superlative due entirely to the attentiveness and support of Ms. Kyoko Ellis. Throughout the eight years that we participated in the program Kyoko demonstrated time, and time again, the personal approach she added to the curriculum. Her patience and understanding complemented the material and fostered a constructive learning environment and overall lovely experience for our family. I can, and do, recommend this Kumon center to anyone looking for extracurricular programs. Between the assistants, and the other parents, the children are afforded a comfort zone within the formal structure of the material and Kyoko’s patience and dedication puts the icing on the cake, so to speak, to truly make this an inconstestably positive experience.

Fabulous program for the parent that wants their child to achieve!!! My early preschool daughter had a knowledge for learning. The program allowed her to enter kindergarten FULLY reading books! My 5th grade son was struggling in math, this program excelled him to this day in math calculations in his brain! Kyoko's program opened his world of knowledge to incredible fraction knowledge in his head, without paper, and more!
We could not be more impressed with the program!
