I had the pleasure of training some BJJ with West Coast MMA earlier this year and this review is way past due. I can’t gush enough about the entire experience. I dropped in with some friends for a Sunday gi class with Coach Jose Ramirez who taught some awesome spider guard details. The curriculum and teaching approach was fantastic. All the students and teachers there were so welcoming and accommodating and helpful. The facilities are top notch. The mats are super clean. They have showers, and I think even a sauna. Culture is often the most important part of any combat sport academy and West Coast MMA has it in spades.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would 100% recommend this academy to anyone, whether they are experienced competitors, brand new to Jiu Jitsu or combat training, or anything in between.

Great gym. The instructors are very welcoming with a ton of experience. Big thanks to all the instructors for coaching my boys for the last 7 years they have learned so much and have had so much success at the tournaments. Now transitioning to the adult classes and love showing up every day.

Been to a lot of different gyms. But West Coast Jiu Jitsu treats you like family! Coach Brian is one of the best coaches no matter what skill level you are. Fred is hands down of the the best striking coaches from kids to adults. West Coast has everything you need there.

Thanks for having open mat on Saturday'sand Sunday's at 9am and Monday's at 6pm. It was how I was able to lose 40lbs and meet a great group of guys that have turned into family. This place has great value for your money. Your guaranteed to lose weight and learn to defend yourself and have blast doing it.

Travis Calanoc cornered me for my first mma fight when I transitioned from pure kickboxing and bjj to mma. Even though this was well over a decade ago I still can count on him to bounce ideas off of. Since training with Travis I have gone on to coach fighters in the UFC, Belator, Glory kickboxing, and Legacy. His coaching has had a lasting impact on me that still influences me today. I highly recommend him to anyone from the hobbyist to the athlete looking to take it to the highest level of the game.
