If I could rate this place 10 stars I would. I was on the fence about joining Volta but after speaking with Rye, I had no doubts left. Every staff member I dealt with: Rye, Sarah, Liz, and Liberty were incredibly genuine, polite, and knowledgeable. No matter what your climbing experience is, and whether you’re a local or a visitor, this place won’t let you down.

It is a relatively new climbing gym located near Acadia National Park. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the facility and the range of climbing options available.

The gym is spacious and well-lit, with large windows that offer a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The climbing walls themselves are varied and challenging, with routes ranging from beginner-level to advanced. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I only climbed at their bouldering section. Climbs are fun, creative, and challenging, with plenty of options for climbers of all skill levels.

Such a cool and friendly gym! You can tell it was made by and for climbers. Very reasonably priced for a day pass, cheaper than other gyms I’ve visited. I didn’t climb ropes, but the boulders were really fun and challenging. Very unique and enjoyable route setting. There’s a yoga room and a cute lofted seating area on the 2nd floor. And they even have a kilter board in their training area! Bought some cool merch and a pair of shoes for a great deal as well. Staff and the other climbers were all friendly, and I get the sense there’s a really solid community at this gym. Would love to climb here again sometime!

A full featured Gym with Top ropes, Leads and bouldering. This place rocks! Definitely recommend climbing here if your in the area.

Went here with my boyfriend while on vacation in Acadia. Great climbs, very accepting atmosphere. We just happened to be there for queer climbing night so that was a fun way to feel welcome. The left side of the bouldering area is very narrow and got crowded quickly.

A Beautiful building that looks quite new, so I was shocked to find out they don’t have showers for guests to use after working out. I would think a gym within 20 mins of a National Park would consider prioritizing locker rooms.

I ended up using the bathroom sink to clean up, which was less than desirable but got the job done. If this gym had showers, I’d consider a punch pass for future visits.

The staff are extremely friendly! The gym is welcoming as well. There are bouldering walls and top rope walls, and both were a lot of fun! The person who belayed my daughter was so encouraging and helpful to her!

One of the only climbing gyms in the area -great if you are looking for an indoor activity on a rainy day. Routes are set very nicely. Smaller than what I expected but that did not detract from the experience.

What a great fun environment. Really laid back and welcoming to all levels. I've been here a few times now and love it.
