Given my status as a retiree -- in other words, my open schedule which allows me to pick optimum times for exercise -- United Fitness has been great for me. The people are friendly too. (I frequent the Winthrop, ME branch.)

In rural Maine, fitness facilities are few and far between. United Fitness has brought full service gym and fitness facilities to both Winthrop and Augusta. Staff is super helpful and hours are extremely flexible. Prices are also very reasonable. Have been a member for almost a year and will continue to be on the years to come! Thanks for being here for us UF!

This gym is conveniently located in Winthrop (they also have an Augusta location which I have not been to) and open most hours by the use of an individually issued key card. The membership rates are extremely reasonable. The gym is well equipped with just about everything you can think of. The staff are extremely helpful. I joined after several health issues and the staff were quick to show me what equipment would help me get back to normal. My granddaughter takes karate lessons in the dojo half of the building and receives excellent instruction and supervision. If you live in the area, you should check out this facility and staff; I highly recommend them.
Oh, and they have after school activities available for local students which seem to be very popular. Check them out!

Everyone at United Fitness is very kind and helpful. Two of my children have been attending karate classes there and another uses the facilities to work out. We really feel like we are part of a family because everyone there knows all of us.
