First off - James is overall just a great person. That was clear from his communication ahead of our session and highlighted the moment we got started.

We are beginners and James didnt miss a beat. Super patient, taught us the basics, lots of positive reinforcement paired with mindful corrections and helpful tips to help us create good habits and form from the get go. Very easy going and easy to get along with. The curriculum seemed to be tailored to our innate ability (or lack thereof) which is a testament to how much of an expert James is - he’s able to adjust mid lesson based on your needs.

The follow up after was also so lovely. From learning what paddles and balls to try, videos to watch, as well as what to work on, on our own time.

My partner and I have been taking lessons with James since we were pretty new to pickleball, and our game has leveled up tremendously over the last year! He is a wonderful coach who incorporates the foundations from footwork and warm up for safety all the way to putting everything together in full games. We love how he is very responsive to things we want to work out when structuring drills and feedback each session. Would highly recommend if you are just starting out or already an advanced player looking to level up your game!

James was amazing!!! We had a lesson with James as part of our team retreat to Palm Spings. The two hour lesson was a perfect way for our team to learn pickleball and have fun. I took 2 classes-an intermediate class and a drill class. Both were excellent. The classes improved my play so I played with more confidence. James had a lot of patience teaching me, he had to go over the same details many times but he didn’t show fatigue or discouragement. I highly recommend James.

We had a mother daughter weekend away and arranged a morning of pickleball with James! He separated the players from beginner to more advanced and it was the most fun! I highly recommended James. Everyone walked away feeling good about getting exercise and learning a new sport!
