Our daughter just completed a summer camp - amazing. She learned so much. All the projects are so cute and useful. We all want a bucket hat now. On top of her having a blast and making amazing things. The projects are so well thought out to teach a pile of skills and tricks and use different materials. Would give a 10/5 if I could.

I started with level 1 sewing class and was blown away how nice everyone is. I learned a lot of new tricks and re signed up for level 2. I find the price of classes is very well priced for all the projects you make in the 4 classes. I 100% recommend this shop for sewing supplies and classes.

I took the beginner sewing class and had a lot of fun! While I found it very challenging since I had no prior experience, the instructors (Linda and Pat) were patient and friendly. I also was able to make a few different items (with a lot of support). These items boosted my confidence and I had some good laughs with my other classmates.
My only critique would be that the class itself had a lot of content. I think it could have been spread out better over more weeks so that I could have practiced concepts that were taught. I would have also benefitted with some visual instructions/steps that I could follow after the demonstrations. These could have helped me work a bit more independently.
Thanks Pat and Linda for getting me started on my sewing journey!

We had a wonderful experience with The Sewing Cafe. My child received a sewing machine as a gift, and with no experience, we signed up for the Sewing Machine 101 workshop. It was informative without being overwhelming, and we learned enough for her to come home and keep sewing away! Their patience and kindness was perfect for beginners. I would go back here again. It was great to be able to purchase some items to make projects with once we got home after our class.

The best decision I made was to get into sewing. And I was more than lucky to have found Linda and her cozy place - “ The Sewing Cafe” !
Linda is very knowledgeable with years and years of experience in this industry. She is kind, friendly, patient and very professional and so is Catherine, who teaches Quilting.
I had never sewn before I took courses here.
I started with Sewing Basics level 1 & 2.
Have taken 3 Quilting classes after that and I am just finishing my second “Ready-to-Wear” class. And OMG…. I have learned so much!!! I made a Bomber Jacket and now making a shirt for myself.
I will also recommend other one session classes that she offers there. I have taken a few of them as well. Rope basket class is so far my favourite.
Amazing atmosphere…. Great ladies….

The Sewing Cafe is my happy happy place!!!

I took the basic sewing classes level 1 and 2 from The Sewing Cafe. Loved learning from Arial, Catherine (she was substituting for Linda), and Linda as they ensure you are in great hands and they are with you in every step of the way.

The atmosphere from this place was top notch. Since the unit is small, they taught the classes in groups of 4-5 people max. for each level. For this reason, the learning experience didn't feel too overwhelming so I loved how intimate the classes were. Each instructor took the time to explain the details and instructions to you if you feel a little behind on something or needed any clarifications. I wanted to get the complete experience of having that class structure and The Sewing Cafe went above and beyond my expectations. I'll be coming back if I ever need a refresher or want to take their other classes for sure! Thank you Sewing Cafe for introducing me to the world of sewing 🙂

Brilliant, knowledgeable, talented, patient… and you can’t get better atmosphere and experience while you’re learning all things sewing. For all ages and abilities, too. Such a gift to Halton Hills! ?

I am self taught and have done basic sewing for years. Recently I took the basic level 1 course and am so glad I did. It was the perfect refresher with lots of extras I do not do on a regular basis. Everyone got along so well and the instruction was fabulous. I am excited to sign up for the next level. This business is amazing.
