I spent $1k on 4 sessions with Christine Brooks, I don't feel good about the value of these sessions. I'd already been exploring my options in making a career switch for about 10 months, I don't think she told me anything I didn't already know. When I asked direct questions, she would almost always respond with a question, and I was left to fend for myself and do my own homework - like I hadn't already been doing that for months. When I pressed further on this re-framing, she would always demur and say "I'm not a therapist". When I pressed for concrete opinions she sometimes had something helpful to say - let's say maybe 10 minutes out of 4 hours were useful, new knowledge. The rest was spend chasing my tail and rehashing what's already been an unpleasant experience. A dead end, for me.

FYI she uses the Myers and Briggs test and she has people who work at the clinic that uses the Enneagram test. She has extensive knowledge on the Myers and Briggs test because she has been using it for a long time. She has internalized her knowledge and beautifully weaved it into our conversation.
