Team Lawton organized a fabulous Jiu-Jitsu Competition event! Everything was well organized the Lawton Team was super friendly! When I first moved to Maine at the end of 2019, I visited a few gyms. After one class it was clear Jarod Lawton was head and shoulders above the rest. Both him and his wife Marcela are fantastic instructor. I’ve been training there ever since. Top notch JiuJitsu, amazing team, great community.

I've been training here for about 5 months and I can't say enough great things about Jarod and Marcela and the atmosphere they have built at this gym. Everyone is extremely welcoming, friendly and professional from the staff to the members. I was referred to Team Lawton by my brother, Joey Brennan, when I expressed interest in utilizing a local gym for weight training. I have been using the gym for several months now and recently signed up for the women’s self defense course. Marcela and Juliette put on a great course, hands on training in a comfortable environment. Team Lawton is a welcoming community and if you’re interested in learning self defense or want to start training in
Jiu jitsu, this is definitely the place to do it.

I visited Team Lawton while on a work trip and had a fantastic experience. Jarod, Marcela, and their entire team were very welcoming and helpful. They have a great balance of drilling and situational rolling, including standing work. I've been to a lot of big gyms all over the country, and Team Lawton measures up. They're good to go.
