Having two kids in the gym, I cannot stress enough how much this place has positively impacted their lives. Not only are they learning the art of Jiu-Jitsu, but they are also developing valuable life skills such as discipline, hard work, and self-defense techniques. It's truly incredible to witness their growth and progress, both physically and mentally.

One of the best Dojos in town! Don't judge a book by it's cover and this is the case with this Dojo. The Coach is very straight forward with the conditioning and training and the kids love it here. I almost forgot they also have adult classes and kickboxing lessons.

My son has been going for 2.5 years and loves it! Everyone is so close and we are definitely a juijistu family. My son loves to compete and they definitely see that and they are always there to help support and train him as needed.

Ive been attending this gym for about 5 years now and there is no place I’d rather go. Everyone is like family and all the instructors are talented knowledgable and humble. I urge anyone who is on the fence to join now! Come to Our House and bring a humble respectful attitude with you and watch what this sport and this family can do for your life.

Fantastic place to train - super low pressure, family-friendly, and outstanding jiu jitsu. Very competition-oriented vs self-defense-oriented like some other schools in the area. I moved out of the Bay Area last year and I keep trying to find a gym out here in AZ that offers a similar experience to this gym. Unfortunately for me, I've concluded it's one of a kind so if you want my advice, stop shopping and go join today.

This is quality Bjj without the Marketing machine feel of other gyms. All of the staff here are able to bridge the gap between professional instruction to a group and one on one training in a manner that seems like family. Truth however is that the seeming part of that statement fades away quickly and you do become family. This is a very unique gym ( I am a transplant from another gym like many here) where the culture weeds out the uptight and creates a bond to pull those who are not sensitive together with humor, great friendly competitive rolls with no animosity. All are accepted/welcome. if your looking for fitness or the other attributes that BJJ presents, this is the place. Both my son (little guy) and I train here. Same goes for kids program, excellent way to teach discipline in a safe environment. No better way to learn respect then in an environment where everyone looks out for others. take a trial and check it out for yourself.

I want to say to those that come by here after looking at other gyms, what you and your kids will find here will not be easily seen or recognized in a first impression. What makes this place so special above the rest is the connection, the vibe, the family feeling that connects everyone. You have folks from many different religious backgrounds, law enforcement, medical, tech, law…etc. that connect not just on the mats but off the mats at family bbq get togethers that happen on a regular basis. You see and spend soo much quality with professors/instructors and their families! Yes you learn top notch old school tough jitsu to defend yourself but what keeps you there just isn’t able to be found in your first visit. Give it a month and show up. That’s when you really start to see the value. I’m a transplant from another great jitsu background gym. It looked different but the vibe was bland, everyone looked the same, had matching gi’s and you rarely rolled or saw the owner/head professor. Not the case here. Amazing place for both kids and adults. This is where boys are made into men and young ladies are formed into warriors that you don’t want to mess with. All while still keeping their sweet natures and close ties to family. The price is more affordable than other gyms and I think you get more for the value from truly how unique this gym is. I travel for work and train in many different areas and feel blessed to have team dumdamaya in my jitsu world. My son and I love this family, Love this gym!

If you are young or older like myself and want to learn BJJ, this is the place to do it! From the owners to the students, everyone is there to help each other progress at there own pace. If you want to train with partners that compete regularly in MMA, wrestling or BJJ, or simply want to get in shape while learning self defense, Team Dumdumaya is exactly the place to be. Great team atmosphere, much like an extended family. Quiet, respectful and humble, and if anyone says anything else they simply haven’t trained there!
