I love Darren’s teaching styles in her low flow and floor flow classes. She always asks us to be intentional with our moves and to feel into our bodies, as things don’t have to be rushed when it comes to pole work! These classes are a great way to slow down during times of stress, anxiety or even during the holidays. These classes are a great way to de-stress and so very therapeutic. Thank you Darren for everything you do❤️✨

Darren’s low flow and floor flow classes are magical. She breaks down and evolves fundamental movements while attending to her students’ individual needs, bodies, and levels. I always find her classes grounding and learn something new to incorporate into my practice.

Heather is the best! I come from a ballet background and cheer background and thrive in an environment with clear instructions and know how important it is to do dynamic exercises right to not hurt yourself, and that is exactly what you’ll get at steel in motion. Plus, heather is rad af and has great music taste. AND all the students rule, too. AND parking is easy. 10’s all around!

This is truly a special place. Heather is an immensely experienced yet humble pole artist. She has certainly mastered her craft and I felt very at home taking a brand new class. Her space and equipment is tidy, high professional quality - as well as her teaching presence! This is absolutely how people can start learning something new with little to no experience - however, she also has advanced classes available! She has a very positive and open approach. I have taken several classes with Heather at her Portland location and I can’t wait to try out her new location in Westbrook! I had never taken any kind of dance class before and Heather made me feel very comfortable, and was very welcoming. She is very skilled and a great teacher and class is always a fun time!

Heather is an AMAZING teacher and all around human being. Taking pole classes with her has been such a positive part of my life, she's super encouraging (hype queen!) and makes you feel like you are more than capable of any dance goals.
