I have been learning French with Angelique Glennon in Speak It Like a Native for the past year and it has been such a wonderful experience. I am in a group class that meets weekly and my French has improved tenfold since I first began. Angelique is an incredibly dedicated teacher who pours her whole heart into her work. She is continuously improving her program and implementing feedback from her students. She is kind, patient, gentle and encouraging in her teaching. It is evident how much Angelique cares about her role as a teacher of language and her students' progress. I highly recommend this program!

I’ve been studying French with Angelique Glennon and « Speak It Live a Native » for about 18 months (time flies!). I first studied French in high school and a few semesters of college, but I had forgotten all but basic grammatical concepts. I could not converse well enough to be understood when traveling in France. My immediate goal was to hold basic conversations with French speakers on our francophone travels, which I’ve achieved. With Angelique’s help, I was able to hold basic conversations in France in just 3.5 months. My ultimate goal is to become truly conversational, and to see where that path takes me.

Particularly with French, the key to being understood is accent and delivery. Learning and conversing with a French native is key. Angelique, though, is not just a French native. She’s a gifted instructor who challenges, encourages, and inspires her students every step of the way. She loves language and teaching and is 100% engaged in helping me meet my language goals, which in turn helps keep me motivated. I highly recommend her as an instructor for aspiring French students of all levels.

I’ve wanted to learn Spanish for a couple of years now. A few months ago, I finally started researching options. I wasn’t quite sure what to look for because I have never studied a second language before. I am a working adult and enrolling in a community college to learn a second language was an option, but didn’t seem like the best option.

When I reached out to Angelique, she was very prompt at replying to my messages, and also wanted to schedule a phone call so that she could find out exactly what I was looking for. Living in Southern California I feel it’s important that I know Spanish, but I was also interested in simply expanding my mind and learning a new skill. I originally enrolled in one of her group classes, but there were not enough students enrolled for the class to start so I decided to do one on one sessions with her. I’m really glad I decided to do that because I think I need the focused attention as a foundation for learning a new language.

I’m six weeks into the class with her and all I can say is, wow! I was not prepared for how much I would like this. I look forward to class every week and I look forward to studying every day. I am hyper focused on Spanish that I see in my community and that I hear others speaking, even though I cannot understand it yet. It’s a lot of work and it’s not easy learning a new language, but I truly look forward to it every day and I find myself scheduling my life around my Spanish studies. I feel like I’m learning a life skill that’s going to help me in so many different areas.

As a teacher, Angelique is very patient and supportive. She takes the time to make sure that I understand what I’m learning before she moves on to new material, rather than pushing forward to stay on an arbitrary timeframe. She acknowledges my progress, and also gives me extra help when I need it. In addition, she shares her passion for learning languages, and how it has changed her life and that it is a continuing never-ending process.

I truly recommend that you consider instruction from Angelique if you are looking to learn Spanish. I am actually looking forward to when this course is over so that I can enroll in another level.

I can’t say enough positive things about Angelique and her Spanish program! I’ve been her student for almost five years and it’s been the best experience possible! She is a truly special teacher. Not only has she taught me how to read, write, and understand grammar, but she’s also given me the skills to converse with natives with ease and comfort. I am so blessed to have found her. I've been taking beginner classes with Angelique since January. I like her method of teaching French. First foundation, then conversation.
Angelique spends time to explain, and then practice pronunciation of french sounds. She makes me to repeat words and sentences after her until they sound perfect. She is amazing teacher. I get numerous recordings after each lessons to practice new words, sounds, and grammar. I recommend her!

I am very happy with the teaching services Angelique has provided me for the last year. Initially I was unsure where to learn French but fortunately I came across her services. Unlike a typical school class with a generic French book, she has crafted a unique lesson plan over decades to fully and accurately teach you French. Since it's essentially her crafted book, she's able to really adapt her teaching style to your skill sets, even if you aren't starting from scratch. She can intelligently build you a strong functional base of French, that you can truly build off of rather than just learning phrases or generic French. The attention to detail is severe, which allows her to dig deep on something or hold back with some of the information until you are knowledgeable enough to benefit from it.

Personally, I really trust her and her teaching style, so I follow her agenda diligently and end up with great results. If you follow her method, you will learn well as long as you are dedicated to the task. There's no question she's the one to teach you, it's just whether you're ready to spend the time, money, and energy to dedicate yourself to this! I'm very happy with where I am at in my studies and I would highly recommend her. It has been an enjoyable, challenging task that I am learning at the age of 35.
