The Annburg Space for Photography is an absolutely wonderful experience for those with keen eyes for technically brilliant photographs.

Firstly, entry is free. Starting off on an excellent note already.

Staff are moderately friendly, and will help you with details of the gallery. IMO would be better if there were more signs with the layout of the gallery along with a suggested route.

There is a movie played every 30 minutes detailing interesting facts about historical photographs taking throughout America’s history. As a tourist, I definitely picked up abit about the history of The Land of The Free while being awed by great photographs.

Exhibits themselves are great, and all deserve a spot on display. With excellent technical aspects as well as thorough descriptions on their respective contexts.

Would recommend highly to photography enthusiasts!

Parking is extremely expensive. I just wanted to see the Anneberg building from the outside since I saw it in a movie. Can’t see it from the outside /driving by. So I parked in the structure - it’s like $4.65 per 12 MINUTES! I couldn’t find outside parking like on the street. So I found the building really quick, took some pics, and ran back to my car lol… made it in under 12 minutes. Building is cool, the complex looks really nice. Also random- they checked my trunk when I came in, they do that to every car, first time I’ve been asked that!! Anyway, pretty cool to see, nice complex, just minus one star for the extremely expensive parking.

4-28-2019. Photoville on display covering the Annenberg building and most of the outdoor courtyard between Avenue of the Stars and Century Park West. Several converted cargo containers house themed photos; add food and a live stage and you have a recipe for lucious viewing.

So sad to see that Annenberg Space for Photography is now permanently closed. It was a beacon of civic spirit, beauty and passion. Every time I was visiting my previous home, LA, it was always on my Must Do list.

I am a visitor so I was not certain what to expect.

It is now just one building, pretty small for what I was expecting this to be. Quality beats quantity right?

A 30 minutes documentary plays continuously.

It is a great experience if into art and photography, but it is out of the way for most visitors.

thursday nights are "iris lectures" ...a variety of photographers & different topics...pretty good most of the time, they do LEAN LIBERAL however, so keep that in mind
