Ah, this gym offers countless extras you won't find in the brochure, all included in the base membership.

Agility training: want some dumbbells, challenge your footwork tip-toeing around all the dumbbells on the ground to make it to the rack (see pic). Also a bit of a treasure hunt, fun!

Soft gym upholstery: residual sweat from other gym-goers both seasons the tough material while making it feel like a group workout!

Getting tired? Move your workout to the TRX room, where the aroma will snap you out of your funk and motivate you to be efficient and get your stuff done asap, so you get get the heck outta there. One of the many benefits of carpet in a gym.

Seriously, with so many specialized and personal trainer-focused gyms in the area, it's nice to have just a basic gym. But it's a bit of a diamond in the rough. I think if the staff made even small changes, it could be so much better.

Don’t recommend taking swimming lessons and camps there. They canceled their summer camp a week before it started. Swimming lesson students don‘t move forward to a different level unless they are receiving the lessons under a low income assistance program; usually regular swim students are stuck in the same level for 12 months or more. Front desk staff is friendly.

This review is for kids swim lessons: Instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. They often say hi to my kid when they see him, even if they are no longer have him as a student. Instructors respect kids' comfort zones and encourage them to try new things but don't push them beyond where they're comfortable (for example: jumping in the deep end before they are ready).

Messy, small, and poorly designed. Weightlifting room was "updated" from a bench press, incline bench press, and a squat rack to a single squat rack. Lots of rusting equipment and bathrooms are fairly dirty.

Really glad to have discovered swim lessons here for my child. He needed a refresher and level 5 was perfect for him after nearly a year hiatus. The pool is clean, warm and has a 10 ft deep end for dives and treading water. Even though it was full group lessons, each child showed progress in their strokes and technique due to a great instructor who was consistent throughout the lessons. The facilities are dated but clean and lessons are reasonably priced. I had to request feedback from the instructor on my child’s progress at the end of the last lesson, but we received a mid-session report card which was a good prompt for me to ask for feedback. Big plus to see families in the community and a diverse group of kids having fun and learning together each week.

As an older adult there are classes that are specifically for me. And I can try other classes, as I did recently and found a Zoomba class I love. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful.
