We love working with Ms Mo. She brings such beauty into this world through teaching cello. She has a wealth of experience teaching. Our daughter has developed a deep love of the cello. Ms Mo has high expectations and yet is tremendously kind and between the two brings the best out in her students.

Sebastopol Cello Academy is a terrific place to start or continue taking cello lessons. Mo Caisse is a wonderful teacher. I've been taking lessons with Mo for over a year now. It was my good fortune to find Miss Mo when I decided I wanted to learn how to play the cello as an adult. I was inspired by daughter's musical journey and wanted to learn to play an instrument myself. I found Maureen to be encouraging and supportive from our first conversation. She recommended where to get a cello and I started private lessons. Miss Mo taught me how to read music, how to handle and care for my cello. It was slow going at first, but after awhile I was actually able to play music(!) and Maureen encouraged me to join her adult beginner's class. It has been an amazing experience playing with other people! Classes are fun and I've found it helpful to work with other adults who are also learning something new. I am now in an adult intermediate class and performed in my first recital last year! I am forever grateful to Maureen for her patience, honesty, generosity, encouragement and great sense of humor. She is an excellent cellist and wonderful human being who I hope to work with for many years to come.

For older students just starting to learn cello, it can really get discouraging. You don't always have time to practice enough to see steady improvement. Mo is great at keeping my courage up and reminding me how far I've come. Her classes build a great camaraderie and musical community, as well as a solid musical and technical basis for me to build on. She's the best!
