Bogdan is an excellent coach and consummate professional.
He has mentored National and International medalists and NCAA Champions. During his years coaching at St. Johns and Stanford Universities his students have shown outstanding results. I have always been impressed with his ability to bring up absolute beginners to elite level.
IMHO Saratoga community is extremely lucky to have such an accomplished fencer and coach work with its youth.

Bogdan's expertise comes from his background as a former Ukrainian national champion and member of the National Fencing Team. What impressed us most was his remarkable patience and strong work ethic. He works tirelessly and deeply cares about his students. His keen eye for detail allows him to identify and correct mistakes early, ensuring that students develop a strong foundation. As a certified USA Fencing Coach and FIE referee at international tournaments, he brings a wealth of experience and insight to his coaching.

Personally, I took some adult lessons, and they were enjoyable. It's a great way to stay fit and have fun. Although the club is unfortunately too far for us to attend regularly, I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Secondly, the coach is serious about teaching and is very enthusiastic with the kids. Additionally, communication with parents is timely and effective.
