I think the title of this review may say it all. But if you miss having a wonderful and casual dinner in its downstairs Bar Area, you are missing one of the hidden gems of this hotel.||So let me tell you about that hidden gem. The over-stuffed chairs in front of the many big screen TVs in the seating area allows you to enjoy some casual meals and makes you feel like you are doing so in your best friend's big and comfortable living room. There are about a half dozen areas that accommodate 4 full size adults with big TVs that are all super wonderful. And the seating area is quiet enough to enjoy private conversations or use as mini-business-meeting rooms.||And your Server takes your order and delivers it with the smile that you would want. I don't know whether they charge for it, but there are a bunch of Electic Vehicle charging parking spots too. ||We like ordering one of their freshly-made Pizzas along with a bottle of wine. Sometimes they even have a beer and pizza special (like we enjoyed on this visit). It included a full size FRESH Pepperoni Pizza and two 16 ounce beers. I had the Pilzner and my wife had one of their more unique custom ones.||And you DO NOT have to be a Hotel Guest in the Marriott to take advantage of this hidden gem!

Absolutely lovey staff! Nadine gave us excellent recommendations and even some 'coupons'. Upon check in, Marco (I think?) was extremely gracious. Tiffany at the bar was adorable. The staff in the breakfast restaurant was overwhelmed by the volume of people; tables covered with dishes and most food items empty - it took them quite some time to catch up :(. Our room was perfect, after the night maintenance guy fixed our heater. Attempts were made to fix the toilet seat, but it clearly did not fit the toilet bowl and became a point of laughter for me and my beau. While we were checked in over NYE, we did not attend the hotel event and opted for an early meal at the Red Barn, and some drinks with Tiffany at the bar. Everyone was happy to be working for Marriott, realizing the benefits and stability it offered. Thanks everyone!

We had a great stay at the Marriott Santa Ynez Valley in Buelton. I had a very restful sleep in their comfortable bed. I couldn't hear the neighbors next to us. Sometimes, I can hear people in the hallway. All the hallways are interior ones. Our room and the overall resort were very clean. The room itself is very spacious with a sitting area, desk, and mini-fridge. There are two restaurants on-site. Check-in and check-out were smooth processes. The staff are friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient. There is no bell desk service. We used their bell carts for self-service in transporting our own luggage. Kudos to the front desk and housekeeping staff.

I recently stayed at the Santa Ynez Marriott for an extended period, and while there were a few bright spots, the overall experience left much to be desired. Service was wildly inconsistent, and dealing with billing issues was an absolute nightmare. Despite speaking with at least ten different staff members and requesting follow-ups from supervisors and managers, no one seemed able—or willing—to help resolve the issues.||||The facilities themselves seem neglected and unkempt. Our room had a large patio space, but it was completely barren—no furniture, no plants, no seating, no decor. It felt like an afterthought, which was disappointing given the potential of the space. During our stay, I had to specifically request that the room be vacuumed and the shower cleaned, as basic cleaning during stay-over service wasn’t adequately performed.||||Another recurring issue was towels. Despite having two people in the room and a preference for extra towels noted in my Bonvoy profile, we only ever received one bath towel and had to request more every single day. Room service was inconsistent as well—I ordered the turkey sandwich twice, and the second time it was completely different, with no explanation.||||Facilities maintenance was also subpar. The ice machine was broken for the entirety of our 25-day stay, which is simply unacceptable. It felt like many aspects of the property were overlooked.||||The one shining star of this experience was Nadine at the front desk. She was a consummate professional—quick, smart, and incredibly helpful. Nadine went above and beyond to assist us and was the only consistent positive during our stay. She deserves five stars, a raise, and all the recognition for her exceptional work.||||Unfortunately, while Nadine was outstanding, the rest of the stay didn’t live up to Marriott’s usual standards. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues so future guests have a better experience.

My friend and I are staying for a few weeks while there are repairs on our house. We checked in during a major wifi outage here and it was so easy and smooth. HUGE shoutout to Nadine at the front desk. She goes above and beyond. She is a star example of hospitality. Mike the night desk agent is so lovely and always helps me with my late night requests when I get off of work. Sarah at the lobby bar makes the best drinks! I have a dog and the staff has been so accommodating. Clean and VERY comfy beds, all amenities you need, easy parking, GREAT WiFi, the daily breakfast is amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Horrible experience!!! I stayed with my family (wife and 4 year old son) at this hotel. They were kind enough to give us a booking same night as we arrived, but oh my god, there was a big party with incredible noise next door and it took past midnight till they shut it down. I've never slept on such an uncomfortable mattress as this one. Spend $250 a night and had to put another $200 on top to get deep body massage afterwards with the pain in my back I left with from the two night stay.... Never again!

The hotel was in a great location. Close to Market, shops and restaurants. Perfect for families visiting Solvang and the Ostrich farm. We had a comfortable stay. Our room was clean and we appreciated the mini fridge in the room. Was hesitant to stay here due to the negative comments but fortunately, we had a great experience and would stay here again.

A pleasant stay. Surprised at some of the negative reviews. My experience was very much a positive one. Very nice staff, room was cozy. Starting to look a little dated, but only slightly. Location is close to the wine country and downtown. Definitely will be returning in the future.
