Hike can be challenging due to rain. Spring 2023. In order to stay on the path you have to cross the Creek couple of times. This April there is still lots of water. You definitely need hiking shoes.

There are not too many wild flowers here. But: it’s still a great hike.

The park is an archeological resource area and has stunning views of the Simi Valley area There’s about 3-4 trails here the longest is about a mile. It’s a nice easy hike with rock formations. Some rocks have some graffiti on it. Some shaded trees on the trail. Limited parking on the park but there’s a spillover parking area near the 118 Freeway.

I couldn't believe how beautiful this park is right now (March 2022). It is so green, and the rock formations are amazing. I have driven by on the 118 freeway so many times without giving this area much thought. There are several trails that go quite far South if you hike down toward the Andorra trailhead.

Great place for a hike! They have easy trails and trails for Billy goats. No camping from what I saw. No fires. A lot of amazing views especially if you get on the mountain for sunrise. Highly recommend.

Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park is a nice smaller park to visit to go hiking at. I hiked the upper portion of the park which has about a two mile loop trail and offers some decent views of Simi Valley and some unique rock formations.

Very nice historical park. It is mostly unimproved, with little amenities, but plenty of trails. Historically the original Stagecoach Trail runs along a portion of Lilac Lane and to the east and west. To the east is the 'Devils Slide' a portion of the trail that was most difficult, and riders would have to get out of the stagecoach and walk up the trail behind the horses and coach.
In between the old Stagecoach Trail and the Santa Susana Pass, there is the Santa Susana Grade Road, which was only used for about 10 years. Portions can still be seen to the South along the SS Pass.

Great views! This area is tough to hike. Soft sand
and rock everywhere. Bring water! The rocks hold the heat too. Keep your eyes open for dinosaur tracks, large lizards, small critters too. No rest rooms. Parking on street shoulder Enjoyable day!
