I live in Buford, Georgia but took a leap of faith in contracting with JD Fabrications in Santa Maria, California for an Argentine Gaucho Grill Drop-In for my outdoor kitchen. You will be dealing with Lauren Sinor and she is the BEST! Always informative and patient in responding to any inquiry. The grill is magnificent and I get compliments and questions from everyone. Have not used the rotisserie yet but it is scheduled for use over the July 4th holiday. Used it to grill steaks, chicken, seafood, veggies, burgers, and hot dogs. Use firewood as I think it works better than lump charcoal. Great product at fair price, and customer service is impeccable.

I waited just over two and a half years to write a review and our grill has hundreds of hours cooking on it. My wife and I are big time foodies and home chefs. The Santa Maria grill and wood fired oven were the two anchors to our outdoor kitchen and I spent hours and hours researching and looking for the perfect grill. You can spend over $25K on a sleek pretty Gaucho Grill and I looked at it but it came down to quality and VALUE. JD Fabrications checked every box. Their grills are overbuilt and you will never be disappointed in their product. We also found out that their customer service is second to none and that's hard to find today.

We did a stainless drop in Santa Maria with firebox and after all the cooking we've done, there isn't a spot of rust and it cleans up easily with some Barkeepers Friend. We did most, if not all of the upgrades and I recommend that you spend the extra money if you're debating on any upgrades or additions. You'll thank yourself later on...I know I did. The log lighter makes things so easy. The adjustable rotisserie gives you great flexibility and we've done suckling pig on ours. The round rod grate never warps and produces amazing sear marks. Get your Santa Maria from JD Fabrications and get out there and cook. You'll never regret it.

I have been following them for years. As well as many other builders for SMGs. Something about the design, the price, the value really drew me towards them. And last year I finally pulled the trigger and got a 24x48 carbon steel drop in Santa Maria grill. Love at first sight though it’s a little smoky without the charcoal grate so I totally recommend splurging on that! I love my grill. It looks great and has held up great next to our pool. No rust at all. Would recommend and would / will buy from them again. They are a small family owned company doing good work.

Infact, six and a half years later, and over four hundred cooks later (both big and small), and my JD grill keeps this north Texas neighborhood smelling great and producing wonder food for our family table.

After some back and forth I ordered the 36 inch drop in Santa Maria with the rotisserie and wood grate. The craftsmanship is first class. If I lived in Hurricane Alley I’d seek shelter under this grill. So far just some steaks and a tri tip but both where excellent. I have a pellet smoker/grill and a flat top and I see the Santa Maria as becoming my go to. JD and his wife took all my stupid questions in stride. Excellent customer service. Product shipped on time. It’s the grill in my kitchen that has gotten the most comments about.just need to fill the wood box below it and string some lights and the kitchen is done. You won’t be disappointed

I am so incredibly pleased by the fine craftsmanship of my new Santa Maria Grill. Not only does it work for EVERYTHING from huge cuts of meat to tiny veggies with wood or charcoal - it is beautiful. When it arrived we had a contractor at our house and everyone gathered around and oohed and aahed. I had to remind them about social distancing! Haha! The next day my gardener was knocking on the door to ask where did I get such a magnificent grill?! It really is a showpiece and last night I grilled the tastiest tri-tip of my life over red oak. Heaven on Earth , really. Lastly, I should mention that JD and Lauren were wonderful to work with - answering every one of my questions thoroughly and in a timely fashion. I simply could not be happier.
