It used to be a proficient dentist office. For the last two years, it has gone some changes. If you want to spend 1 to 1.5 hour waiting in the lobby just to called , go ahead. Plan to be spend your day about 2-3 hrs there. Staff does not follow through with communication as well. So it's frustrating to keep calling and calling to make appt or follow up with one question that it took 2 months to get a simple answer.

Santa Barbara Denistry is the best! Both my husband and I went there for a full set of dentures and an upper partial. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hobie, David, Elizabeth and the entire staff. Horrible Customer Service by the Office Staff Members which does not reflect the great work of their Dentist/Specialist. This office has been over charging me for the service performed. I reviewed my insurance claims and compared them with the amount I was charged. I have communicated multiple times with different office staff members who have neglected to assist me in with my over payment. The Office Staff Members lack customer service skills- they do not follow through with what they say they will be doing. Please make sure that you review your insurance claims if you go to this office to ensure you are not being over charged. If you do not want to deal with incompetent Office Staff Members stay away from this office.

I had an excruciating pain which I thought would be ok after taking penicillin and Advil for pain… WRONG! It helped a little but I knew I needed to get my molar extracted. I called, they set me up for an appointment. From the moment I walked in everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Well guess what? So was Dr Hobie! He made me laugh, feel at ease and before I knew it, he’d extracted my tooth. Amazing - love this place ❤️ highly recommend
