The San Francisco film school has been one of the most best learning institution I have ever been to. They're not only informative but they know how to work with people in a productive and helpful way. I'm a veteran thats new to the film industry working under the Voc. Rehab Program. I'm disabled and they still helped me learn the Fine Art of film making and are willing to work with you.

Horrible horrible horrible! I feel robbed by the fact I have to give them even 1 star..Stay away especially if you’re a veteran like me! The most disorganized and dis functional school I’ve ever encountered and I’ve been to four different institutions while acquiring my bachelors degree. I was in classes for two weeks and never received any log in information, documents, enrollment agreements, literally nothing other than being told verbally that I was enrolled and will start class January 13th. Also my information was never sent to the VA for my tuition to be paid and for me to receive my BAH. I spoke to the VA and verified this. Sadly I really wanted to attend this school to learn videography. I literally called in everyday only for Gemces to laugh and ask to call me back with an update which she NEVER did, once I even asked her who is their VA certifying official and she would not tell me. Alfretta is horrible as well she made promises and never once delivered on them. I’ll be calling into the VA to make them aware who this schools dealing as well. The school specifically advertises to veterans just to screw them over. Trust me all vets save your time and heart rate by NOT dealing with this trash school. Thank me later!

If I could give zero stars I would. This school was referred to me with a high recommendation from a previous student. My son, who just graduated from high school this June, has been struggling trying to find any type of profession he was even interested in pursuing for higher education and a career direction.

When I mentioned film school, it was the first time he had a light in his eyes. I submitted the contact form to get more info from SFFS and was immediately called by "Alfreda" and they had one phone conversation. He has since decided not to pursue this school or career direction at this time.

She called him today. He stayed home from work and has been very sick since NY Eve. Thinking it's even Norovirus as his side of the family has all been sick, violently sick. So when she called today, he answered from a dark sleep, and she asked if he was still interested in the school and he replied, barely able to speak, "No, I'm not interested" and hung up and closed his eyes again.

She immediately sent this text to him below. I called to speak to her manager, and of course she answers the phones. She told me that they were out until the 15th. I asked to speak to anyone in leadership that was above her. She refused. I then told her she was a horrible example of a school admissions representative and should never have replied with this garbage text. She even told me, "Aren't you embarrassed at the way he treated me?" and you know...the mama bear came out in me and I told her she should be ashamed of herself!!!

As a potential student who was once excited about the possibilities ahead of him in this industry, he's now trying to understand why anyone would want to go to this school. To be honest, if she wouldn't have insulted both of us, I was more than happy to let her know that he's very sick and would never hang up on someone like that, he's the sweetest human on the planet.

She even told me she's the VP of some department and that makes it even more repulsive that she would respond this way to a potential student. Sales is sales, and because someone can't go to your school or buy your program, you should NEVER EVER EVER reply back with this garbage.

With almost no prior experience I enrolled in two different film programs and made a black and white student film for $34. Two years later a professional version of Prior Bad Acts has won two Best Shorts Competition awards and a screening at the Balboa Theater next week. Thanks to Alfretta Clark, Turner Van Ryn, Attila Rosas and Jeremiah Birnbaum for kickstarting the process.

Everyone is very passionate about film & helping the students to grow and develop their own artistic form as a filmmaker. Special thanks to Tammy Hendricks for going above and beyond to help with processing enrollment w/ VA.
