Californians in the Santa Barbara area are incredibly lucky, and those of us who depended on Rich for decades during his years in Virginia are bereft. I was recommended to Rich when an excellent masseuse told me that only Rich could get to all that was making my entire body ache. She was right...although it wasn’t a quick fix, I felt like I had a new body after he worked his magic. I do have to admit that I’ve never figured out if Rolfing is magic, or if it is Rich. I continued to see him, regularly if infrequently, to keep my body limber. From time to time, though, stress would act on me more severely—but of course Rich could fix it. After he moved, I tried other rolfers...or we’ll-recommended massage therapists: but no one was as effective as Rich. He is extraordinary.

Rich Goodstein is an extremely skilled and empathic model for the Rolfing community. His diagnostic ability is legendary among his clients. His work makes a palpable difference in health and structural integrity. I entered my first session with Rich as a skeptic. I left a full inch taller. I learned through the years that his application of bodywork was both effective and flexibly responsive to symptoms occurring at the time. A clinician (psychologist) myself, I deeply appreciate his work and can recommend him without reservation.

Rich is my father, so I'm biased. BUT I was super skeptical for 18 years of my life as I lifted weights at the gym and didn't stretch and eventually ALL that caught up with me, and when my back and neck exploded who was there to unwind it all? The best rolfer I know, Rich Goodstein. The man has serious skills, if you have body problems, you should try him out.

I’ve been seeing Rich since I was in college. I hurt my back when I was young and it has always been a lingering issue. Every time I can get to Rich when something goes wrong, the difference is immediately apparent. I leave feeling more at ease, less in pain and more importantly, more hopeful. Which has come to be incredibly
Important in all sorts of recovery.
And to top it all off, Rich genuinely cares. He’s there to help and he doesn’t look at you as a problem to solve but a person to help.
