I have been going to radical for 5+ years and I’ve never had a negative experience! They have formed a really awesome community and enjoy sharing it with many! Very encouraging and always getting us to perform in student showcases! So fun and great for goal setting. I’ve been training with Emily on silks and occasionally rope and have reached goals I had originally thought to be impossible! Love her silks class and if you are already advanced in rope Emily also teaches advanced and Allie if you ever see her on the schedule and you want a challenge she is great! Allie is very into the method and patterns on rope, make your brain think a bit and Emily has flowy sequences that are great for dancers!
Would highly recommend any intro classes to brand new beginners.

Been meaning to write a review for a long time and finally doing it! I would like others to have this same experience.
I've been taking aerial with Emily's great instruction for about 2 years. Fantastic experience in so many ways. Empowering it is to hang from cloth silks and feel fully confident and strong. Emily is a very skilled (and oh, so humble) instructor. She recognizes our individual abilities, strengths, and where we need to improve and is able to teach a multi-skilled/level class well. This has been life changing and I wish I had started much sooner in my life but I'm here now! Love it. Come check it out if you're considering doing something so very different than any other physical activity.

I tried out a beginner silks class at Radical Movement Factory on a whim years ago and it has been beyond life-changing. As a life-long runner, I have no flexibility at all and didn't know how I'd fit in with all the graceful aerialists I saw online but it just looked like so much fun and I wanted a way to shake up my fitness routine! The community at RMF has been so inclusive and welcoming of myself and everyone I've seen come through the doors over the years. Learning aerials has allowed me to feel strong and confident in a way I never had before while having a ton of fun in a great space. All the coaches are great, patient, kind, and put safety first in everything they do. Whether you've been wanting to try an aerial class, or think it could never be for you, I highly recommend giving it a try and you'll become hooked for life!

You'd be hard pressed to find a more welcoming space to learn new things, have fun and move your body! I never knew there was such a vibrant circus community here in Santa Cruz, and now I'm addicted to aerial silks and rope, partner acrobatics and trying to learn handstands. The instructors want to work with you wherever you happen to be (from absolute beginner to professional) and make sure that you're enjoying yourself while being safe. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging - you get to be creative and do amazing things with movement. What a cool place to have here!

Hands down the best place in Santa Cruz to train circus! The instructors are all qualified and professional. I'd recommend this place to both complete beginners and experienced aerialists to come train. The space is clean, open, and the ceilings are nice and high!

As a member of the circus community I would highly recommend the Radical Movement Factory. They employ top notch staff who teach appropriately to one's level in a safe and encouraging environment. Great for kids and adults alike. I can't speak highly enough of this amazing crew.
