Very cool place, we just used it as a side trip, but we will go back for sure. They have a cool rideable scale module Amravk train and Amazing views!!!

It is a nice place for a weekend gateway. The rooms are well kept. The surroundings are picturesque and have trails to walk. The restaurant is good place to dine and has delicious food.

One of those hidden gems. It is big rig friendly but I believe you want to come from Mena to get here. I came up 272 with my class A and only thing I can say is thank God I did not meet any oncoming traffic. The camp sites are on one side of the campground road and the turn around is not really accommodating for big rigs. So you may want to back down the road to your site. Any hassle you may encounter will be well worth it once you are parked.

This is an absolutely Beautiful place to hike! There are 2 trails, both will test your footing and endurance. There a 2 lookout platforms, one at the Lodge where the trails start the other is down the "Lovers Leap" trail. You must keep your head on a swivel though, this is Bear Country

We stayed at the park for just one night 4/23. The staff were super friendly and helpful. All the sites, restroom and shower area were very clean and well maintain. We hike the Lovers Leap which is a very easy trail. The following day, we hike back and forth to State Line Shelter using Ouachita trail. Both trails were well maintained and marked. Temperature was Ok but the wind was very strong. Anyway a very nice place to stay.

Beautiful drive , lots of pullovers to investigate, old cemetery, old wells, and of course beautiful overlooks. Just need to get out of your vehicle to appreciate it the most. Also Beautiful drive for people who can not get out of the vehicle.
The Hotel/Restaurant/Bathroom at top is handicap accessible , as well as the overlook at top right across from hotel. It's also a great drive for picnics, there are tables at top. And camping area with bathroom.
I've been so many times I can't count them, been different seasons , always enjoyable.
I have never camped or ate at the restaurant. So I can't comment on that , except they are there.

It is a beautiful lodge with a lot of history. Access to multiple trail heads and an amazing state park. I have to add that I would visit this state park just for its immaculent bathrooms. After multiple days on the trail in the rain, they were nice and heated! This will not be my last visit to this peace of heaven in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas.
