The team at Philip Thearle's Autowerks did an amazing warranty job on my Mercedes Sprinter Van 4x4 and polishing and restoring my 1977 Datsun Z back to new. My family and I have been coming here for over 8 years for insurance jobs and out of pocket jobs. We trust Autowerks and only bring our cars here. They 100% stand behind their lifetime warranty!

I had a fender bender resulting in a dent rear bumper and tailgate. It was still driveable. I was hoping it will be an easy fast fix from a BMW certified shop. It took them almost 2 months to finish the job. No updates even after making several calls. We have to beg them to update us. I agree brand new car, parts could be hard to find but they should have told us way before. We have to pay rental in excess of $30 per day as insurance only covers the $30 for a month. One month has gone, we have to pay the rest of the rental. Our first update only happened after 1 and 1/2 months. I’m not sure if this is the norm on all car shops in San Diego but it was so infuriating that the client service of this shop is so bad.

This place is the best I took my car to get it repaired and they did a fantastic job. I am so pleased by the work and service they provided me. Daniel was the best. He was very patient with me. he explained everything to me and he comfort me. I am very picky with my car and they did a job that better than I want them to. Definitely a five star service. I want to thank Tina as well. She’s a fantastic job. The car looks so good. I feel like I just bought it out the dealership.

Overall, a good experience. The work was as expected, the service was good and it was relatively seamless with my insurance company. The only real issue I had was that they re-painted my entire hood and fender, and there were a couple of scuffs and chips on the front part of the fender that wasn’t part of the insurance claim, and so in the context of a $5000 repair I would’ve thought that they would’ve fixed that so that the whole car presented really nicely Or at least given me the option to have it fixed at my expense while the car was in the shop. Because of those scratches which seem very minor, the effect of the very nice looking hood and fender is muted and it all just looks kind of ordinary I think it’s a missed opportunity for, the body shop because I can’t really show it to anybody with any pride because it doesn’t look that great.

I had the front end bumper replaced on my BMW 550 I Msport at Philip Thearle’s Autowerks Collision Center and I have to say I was impressed with the entire experience here. From the moment I walked in and was received at reception by Tina right through to picking up my vehicle after the work was completed. Tina took care of all matters promptly and professionally and soon I was having the damaged assessed by Daniel. Absolute professional service once again by Daniel and I just knew I had made a great choice in selecting Autowerks. Daniel ordered the parts and scheduled me. A couple days later I dropped off my vehicle and in no time, voila! I was coming in to pick up my car. They matched the paint perfectly and I’m extremely happy with the quality of workmanship, the service, and the assistance and advice in filing my claim. Absolutely top notch job all the way!
