Came here on for a class to learn about mushrooms. It’s a gorgeous facility with breathtaking views. We hunted for mushrooms and collected samples for the center to use as data for their research. That day we found 50+ different species, ranging from chanterelles, lion’s mane, oyster mushrooms and so forth. Be aware, this is a non-profit nature preserve and you need to check the schedule for events open to the public - you aren’t able to just show up anytime.

This is such a gem in Sonoma County. Usually you only get here for members events or workshops and volunteer days. They have a great program for teens called TeenNat. This is a place to learn about nature, fire resilience and meet other nature enthusiasts.
