I recently graduated from Penguin Paragliding School with my P2 license, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. A thousand thanks to all my instructors: Rob, Mike, Danny, Anthony, G, Craig, Zach... You all have made my dream come true!

From day one, the instructors were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about ensuring each student truly understands the art of paragliding. The personalized attention and encouragement made all the difference in my learning journey. I really appreciate Penguin's genuine commitment to fostering a supportive pilot community, where students and graduates can share weather reports, flying/kiting schedules, new things we learned, etc.

Even after graduation, everyone is still welcomed to join classes and continue learning. This ongoing support creates a sense of belonging and growth which truly makes it a priceless experience.

My experience with Penguin Paragliding has honestly been phenomenal and beyond all of my expectations! Rob, Mike, and all of the instructors are deeply talented, passionate, and encouraging. I live in San Francisco and the drive out to Vallejo has been 100% worth it, hands down.

One of the things that makes this school so special is its commitment to the longterm support of students and introducing us to the larger paragliding community -- as well as building its own amazing sub-community of Penguins. I was really impressed that they actually cap the total price of the course so that students can go to as many sessions as they want until they feel comfortable flying safely and independently. And, even after graduating, graduates can still come back to tag along with the regular sessions for free. It's clear to me that they really care about building an awesome community rather than just churning out P2s for cash.

I feel lucky to have found this school and am excited to keep flying with Penguins!

Penguin paragliding has been an amazing experience all around. Since day 1 Rob, Mike, and the entire team has given attentive care to every step of the process. The whole staff is enthusiastic and all members/staff are beyond welcoming. The team is easy to communicate and more than happy to answer any questions. It is clear that penguin paragliding is more focused on passion than profits, and unlike most schools they don’t pedal (or require) you to make an expensive gear purchases from them. They’re happy to allow you to use school gear throughout the process and really treat every student as their only one, and an individual. You never get lost in the crowd here and always receive focused and dedicated attention to make sure you thoroughly understand every part of the process. Also, the penguin community extends to hundreds of students and as a member you’re given access to group chats that includes all these students at all different levels, from day 1 students to pilots with years and years of experience who love to answer any questions and provide as much help as you want. You’re always welcome to come and continue to train with paragliding after getting your p2 which provides a tremendous value. I can not express my appreciation in choosing Penguin Paragliding for my training and this process.

I had the pleasure of obtaining my P2 (novice) paragliding certification through Penquin Paragliding recently. My experience with Penquin was and is a fantastic one! The penquin phone app not only keeps track of your progress through flight school, but also has a wealth of knowledge included. If you're thinking about it, def give it a try and do the intro day, you won't regret it! Rob, Mike and the entire instructor team is incredible! My partner and I learned paragliding first in India when visiting. The conditions were mellow and there was almost no focus on ground handling. Once we came back to the Bay Area, we realized that we weren't capable of flying these conditions. We reached out to Rob hoping to get an intro day, and he replied almost instantly. The material is very well structured, the scheduling well organized, and communication is super timely.
Rob also let us know early on the importance of getting set up with our own gear and helped us choose the right set up. Having gear has been a game changer in terms of practicing outside of classes which is super helpful.
There's plenty of focus on ground handling and ensuring that pilot feels prepared with the conditions before a long flight.
All in all, everyone is clutch, super helpful, very knowledgeable, and everyone maintains a great positive attitude which makes learning so much fun and something I look forward to! Highly recommend Penguin paragliding and the extremely thankful to the coaching team!

I can't say enough good things about Penguin Paragliding. Rob and Mike are professional and safe instructors but also make it a super fun learning experience. They clearly put a lot of thought into creating lesson plans for each student so that we maximize our time on the training hill and at all times I felt like I was in good hands in terms of being safe and making progress. They've also cultivated a supportive community of students and former students that keep you motivated to keep learning and then have new friends to fly with afterward. They'll also keep helping as you progress past your P2 which is so important since there is so much to learn in the sport.
