Ari is the best instructor you could possibly have. She is beyond knowledgeable, so personable and an excellent teacher. Pottery can be so daunting and she makes it so simple to succeed at. I’ve learned from her for years and also love her wild clay workshops. Being able to forage and use your own clay is such a gift and exciting way to add so much meaning and value to your personal ceramics skills. Olla is also the only studio doing wild clay test firings in San Diego!

Olla studio feels like a second home! Ari is warm, and welcoming. Ari articulates the science and complexities of ceramics so well and you can hear her passion for it all when she shares her knowledge with you! It’s incredibly grounding and fun to be around. I was doing ceramics for two years before I met ari and I have made more progress in 3 lessons being taught by her than I did in the first two years. You’re missing out if you don’t meet her!
