I found this school to be very unorganized and unprofessional. When I went for my written CNA exam, there was no one monitoring the students during the test. People were talking to each other in their language and cheating, which caused me to lose focus and ultimately I didn’t pass. However, when I took the online test later, the experience was much better, and I passed. They really need to have staff present to monitor students during the exam to ensure a fair and focused environment. I was hoping someone would stay in the room during the test, but no one did.

I took the sterile processing class at NBA back in 2023 (feb-may). Dr. Amy was a great teacher. She went through every chapter in the book and helped us with any questions. She would always encourage us to study to make sure we would pass our tests/board exam. I took my board exam in Aug 2023 and passed on my first try! I am now currently working at one of the county hospital as SPD tech since January 2024.

I do encourage making flash cards for the medical terminology & instruments. I recommend studying through out the entire time and studying the chapters over and over until it is time to take your board exam.

The proctors were very unfriendly and rude and made the experience more stressful than it needed to be. I had two proctors, an older woman and a very young woman. Unfortunately I could not find their names. They both interrupted many times while my partner and I were performing our skills and were not kind about it either. It threw me off to have someone interrupting and made me feel like it took away the chance for me to correct myself. The experience was very unprofessional and not what I expected for an exam by a company like Credentia, and I know I’m not the only one who has had this experience at this particular test tracking site. I also had to arrive very early to make sure I was first in line in order to avoid waiting many hours until it was my turn. There should be a way to book individual time slots instead of everyone coming at the same time and waiting hours for their turn. Some people are already traveling from far away. This testing site needs to be investigated by higher ups. Fortunately I passed the test and don’t need to go back!

I took the 3 month sterile processing course in early 2022 and the knowledge which I've gained from the course helped me get board certified, it of course varies when you take the test depending on when they host the tests. Dr. Amy was really helpful with thoroughly walking us through the textbook and had a structured lesson plan. Dr. Amy provided a learning environment where asking questions were encouraged! The school also helps you find a facility to extern after completing the course and completing the exam! After completing the externship I was able to work in SPD at Stanford Health Care so overall the course and school is high quality and the monthly payments are reasonable for the knowledge, assistance and timeline of when you'd like to get into a new career! I highly recommend this school!

First of all I want to say that “Proctor Catherine should be fired or higher up should educate her” CNA skill exam is not a joke so she should learn how to take it seriously, I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews about her. All the student who come to take the test travels from far away and time is valuable to every single person that comes to take the test. She’s very rude and this shouldn’t continue like this. She can be Registered nurse so what that doesn’t give her any reason look down on future CNA and that doesn’t make us any less than her. We’re all equal and no one should look down on CNA. Wake up higher up people and make things right. This Nurse Builder academy should close down or replace Catherine.

I took the CNA course on Saturdays and Sundays with Nurse Builder Academy and it was probably the best decision I've made.they prepared us for the exam with practice exams and helping us with the skills every week. they kept the class interesting with their fun stories about the experience as a nurse. they are amazing instructor and I'm glad I got to learn from the best!

I did my sterile processing. But I don't recommend this place. No hands on experience. Too hard to find work, too. Too many graduates of sterile processing. MOST HOSPITALS ARE ALREADY FILLED.
