We are so grateful for Noble Learning Academy! My kid is in 6th grade this year, and I was so worried about her academic burn out over the pandemic with all the virtual learning. From day one, my child has felt at home and loved it at NLA. The head of school is both the kids’ biggest cheerleader and supporter, and also a strict (and reasonable) disciplinarian. She has a lot of experience with middle schoolers and makes decisions based on what is best for the kids academically and emotionally. She is an absolute gem who sparkles with positivity and warmth. The teachers are spectacular. Gifted and hardworking educators who have brought back my kid’s love of school with creative learning activities along with rigorous academics. The school is inclusive and diverse in every way. This is how middle school should be - safe, welcoming and challenging but supportive.

My son attended Noble Learning Academy last year. He graduated from the 8th grade class, and we could not be happier about the school. NLA forms an excellent learning environment, both at in-person and remote schooling, and it helps students engage and form interest. The teachers are very experienced and professional, and they give every student the direct attention that they deserve. They have a way of making school more dynamic, and I'm sure the kids will find the enrichment classes and leadership groups captivating. For each subject they have a teaching model that prioritizes the students and helps them succeed. I highly recommend NLA as an excellent option of private schooling.

Learning Academy. The teachers are very kind, helpful and encouraging.
Our daughter is enjoying the program. We talk about the interesting assignments she is given. It is fun hearing her practice the ukulele.
Everyone at the school has made a big effort to make us feel welcome and included.

Our experience at Noble Learning Academy has been exceptional! You can't find a better school than Noble Learning Academy if your child needs flexibility and individual attention to thrive. The tuition is a bargain for the education your child will receive. My son started attending in 2020 when Palmer School abruptly closed during the Covid shut down. Miss Cassie, the founder of NLA, was his teacher at Palmer School. She rescued us from a year of uncertainty by creating this amazing school. She recruited terrific teachers who have decades of experience and are dedicated educators. My son loved his teachers at NLA. They have created an extremely supportive learning environment. The flexibility and attention each child receives is unparalleled. The teachers know each child's strengths and weaknesses because of the very small class sizes. They are always available for help and discussions. The classes are collaborative and the students are taught to use an array of technology. You need to meet Miss Cassie. She is a warm , engaging, wonderful person on top of being an amazing educator. She is an inspiration. She turned adversity into opportunity and created Noble Learning Academy in the most challenging of times.

Our experience at Noble Learning Academy (NLA) has been exceptional. My son started attending in 2019 as an incoming 6th grader and will finish his middle-school experience there. The teachers and staff, who have decades of experience working with 6-8th graders, have created a learning environment focused on educating the whole child…academic, social, and emotional. Super small classes, tons of enrichment activities, and amazing teachers have allowed my son to thrive. It’s worth every penny. Our family couldn’t be happier with the incredible teachers and families of NLA.

Last year, my daughter was attending the local middle school for 6th grade and she wasn't really growing or expanding her knowledge. She was bored in class and they weren't meeting her needs. This last year at Noble however has been a complete turnaround. She's fully engaged and her abilities in math, writing and science have grown rapidly. The group of kids in her class has been supportive and friendly which is a testament to the quality of the teachers. The staff have really impressed us and they show time and time again that they truly care and are fully invested in her success. They've shined during a very difficult time to be a teacher. Enrolling our daughter in Noble turned out to be the best decision we've ever made regarding her education. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

During the pandemic, we had 2 kids at Noble Learning Academy, a 6th grader & 8th grader. Had a FANTASTIC experience!! Our kids both thrived, and greatly benefited from the small class sizes, personalized attention, and outstanding teachers! My 6th grader happily returned as a 7th grader last Fall.

Miss Cassie, who has been a middle school teacher for almost 30 years, is the founder of Noble Learning Academy. She LOVES middle schoolers, and she "gets" them!! She's warm, has a great sense of humor, super creative, incredibly patient, and has a great balance between being well-liked and having fun with the kids and also being well-respected by them. In addition to Miss Cassie, we had very good experiences with ALL the teachers -- I want to give a special shout out to Mr. Hull, who is without any doubt, the *best* and most dedicated math teacher either of my kids have ever had! We loved all the teachers -- there wasn't anyone we weren't happy with!

As a parent, I feel that the teachers went above and beyond in every way. During covid, if class started and one of my kids wasn't logged in for some reason, within 3 minutes of the class starting, I would have a text from one of the teachers seeing if there was a problem, and letting me know that my child wasn't logged in yet (My 6th grader learned to be very punctual!! Thanks NLA!!). Also, both of my kids occasionally had problems grasping a math concept during class. Before the end of the school day, I would have a text letting me know that the teacher wanted to work 1-on-1 with one of my kids after school to make sure my son didn't fall behind. Who else does this for your child It's simply amazing! I could mention several other examples of this kind of "above and beyond", but hopefully this will give you an idea.

Several students joined Noble Learning Academy after school started, in Nov, Dec, January last year, after having issues with their schools. The families all felt their kids were having a far better experience in school after joining NLA.

Noble Learning Academy has evolved since the covid year, and recently received a Non-Profit status! What that means is that scholarships may be available to help out families who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it.

The school is currently located in Walnut Creek (near Target), within a church, although the school is not religious or affiliated with the church. If your child would thrive in a smaller school with small class sizes, you should meet Miss Cassie and tour NLA.

Downsides: If your child thrives in a bigger school environment with bigger classes and more friend choices, this probably isn't the school for you. Also, a downside for some is that there isn't a gym. That wasn't super important for our kids, but it may be for some.

We are very grateful to Miss Cassie and all the teachers at Noble Learning Academy for a very nurturing education for our kids =)

Middle school is hard academically and socially. Add a pandemic for the 2020/2021 school year and it was a perfect storm. Our 7th grade student needed something different. What we found at Noble Learning Academy was small class sizes, engaged teachers and support.

Miss Cassie, a teacher herself with 30+ years experience and the founder of NLA, started this middle school during the pandemic as the answer to many students needs. She recruited terrific teachers who have decades of experience and are dedicated educators. They have created an extremely supportive learning environment. The teachers know each students strengths and weaknesses due to the small class sizes. The classes are collaborative and the students are taught to use an array of technology. They are preparing these students for High School with the academics they are teaching. Even with continued at-home zoom learning, this school has given our student back the joy of learning and rebuilding her confidence!! This school community is supportive and the students are welcoming.

This is a great middle school I can’t recommend this school enough!!

We are looking forward to this year in person at NLA!
