I had a wonderful experience at New Start Recovery. The food, counselors, and staff are all amazing. I truly felt like all of the staff cared about me and wanted the absolute best for me. They worked tirelessly to provide a strong foundation for my sobriety. I chose to get help again because like always addiction had me in a tight corner, and i was unable to get clean without outside help. I came to New Start last year and it was my favorite out of the previous 6 rehabs I had attended, so I decided to call them again. I was responded to within the hour and they had me on a flight down within 48 hours. I appreciated the authenticity of the staff. They treat you like a real person and provide high quality individual and group therapy. The two staff members who help me the most were David and Jackie. They really spent a lot of time and effort in helping me as long as I was willing to ask for help. The program went above and beyond on all of my individual needs, and I would say they always made the effort to meet my demands. Improved my relationship my family tremendously through family therapy sessions. They helped rebuild and mend a disastrous 18 year relationship with my step mother. The program environment is very positive. They gave me all the support resources for my recovery that I could ask for in a treatment center. I would and will recommend New Start to others.

I have been through this program twice and there isnt another program ive been through like it. After i relapsed and got fired from my job i immediately called New Start because i knew they would get me in ASAP and it was what i needed at the time. The groups, therapy sessions, and the case management sessions they have are ones that give you tools of all kinds to use in the real world when you leave. If you use the tools and stay committed through your sobriety you have a great chance at staying sober. They have outings Tuesdays and Saturdays and Monday, Wenesday, Friday they go to the gym, and Thursdays they have competition days staff vs clients. All around they make you realize that you can be serious and dedicated about your treatment and have fun doing it at the same time.

I came to New Start broken and beaten down. My life was crumbling from addiction, and I could not stay sober by my own devices. The facility provided me a comfortable and safe place to detox. The staff here was extremely helpful and they go the extra mile to see the clients succeed. The clinical staff are well-educated, and they are able to present their knowledge in an easily digestible fashion. I picked up some useful coping skills here. The most useful one was my true introduction to AA. Without the 12 steps, I would not be where i am at today. At the end of my 90 days here, I was able to enter the world again with my newfound knowledge and strength, and fighting addiction became more effortless. New Start exceeded my expectations in care as opposed to other treatment centers. The rehab is smaller and more intimate than larger rehabs I have been to. That allows the staff to form stronger connections with us, and to be more focused on us as well.

Coming into New Start, I was physically ill, thin, and severely depressed. The staff was amazing during my time in detox. It was my first time in treatment and they assured me that my family was ok and that I was in the right place. And I was. The support system was fantastic. Leaving was bitter sweet. Although I felt prepared physically and emotionally to move on, I had grown close to the staff as they became my family while I was in treatment.

My brother has been suffering with addiction for almost all of his adult life. Mainly Heroin . Our family was very frustrated and we were losing hope as he had been to many detox facilities and residential facilities before, and he kept relapsing. Finally, we found New Start . We were hopeful that this time it would be successful as my brother had hit rock bottom. He was homeless. We got him into their program and he completed his detox . It lasted about 7 days. He came out very optimistic, he looked much healthier and he is now transitioning into a residential program. Dr. Cohen was so helpful in transitioning him into the right facility for his next steps. I wanted to thank the staff at New Start for all of their care. They really treated him well and kept our family updated everyday on his progress. I truly believe the teams support was crucial in his motivation to become sober. I highly recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction.

Before coming to New Start, I was drunk, sad and alone. I couldn't stop drinking no matter how badly I wanted to. New Start not only helped me stop drinking, but also gave me the tools I need to stay sober and better my life situation. The daily group sessions helped me understand my disease and why I struggle with addiction. They teach coping skills, introduced me to AA and helped me find a great sponsor. They sent me home with the strength to maintain my sobriety in the real world.

I'm developing a daily routine, going to meetings and working on building a sober network for myself. I couldn't have done any of this without the help of the staff. They were very kind and supportive throughout the entire process. I highly recommend New Start to anyone struggling with addiction. They've helped me tremendously.
