I recently graduated NHI and it is so much more than a school. I gained not only knowledge but lifelong friendships and bonds.
I was so lost in my life. I have anxiety, struggle to make social connections and just did not know what to do that was fulfilling in life.
I saw a post someone made on Instagram of their experience so I looked into it. I am so glad I did. It changed my life. I find it easier to converse with strangers and feel less anxiety. I found a fulfilling career, not just a job. I get to help people relax and that’s pretty cool. I’m currently signed up as a TA because I just can’t stay away. If you’re not sure where you’re going in life and you’re struggling I recommend coming in and giving it a try! I was so nervous the first week and wanted to quit but I kept going and it was the best decision of my life. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

An absolute amazing core program that helps you towards becoming a well rounded massage therapist. On campus and online, you’ll learn a large spectrum from body work, business to sciences such as pathology and anatomy. And with the externship program you get to go into the industry and work as an extern to earn credits towards school and dip your toes into various venues such as day spas and clinics. I’m currently a student here at NHI in Santa Rosa halfway through the core program and it’s been lovely. The staff here are amazing and everyone is super friendly. The bond created among everyone is just different, especially for being a school setting. I highly recommend coming here if you’re interested in becoming a massage therapist, they teach so many different modalities and they have lots of resources to help you throughout your time here!

Update 10/07/24 : I just graduated last week and it was bittersweet. So glad I got to meet such amazing people both classmates and teachers. Sad to leave but so excited to have attended the Santa Rosa campus to learn and grow alongside my friends. Like I said previously, if you’re thinking about going here just do it! You’ll love it!😆

NHI was like no other school I've experienced. In 2010, I was working as a grocer, I knew I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life, and the only thing I really enjoyed about my job was helping customers. My younger sister and father were both attending different NHI campuses (San Francisco and Emeryville), and were sharing with me about how much they were enjoying the program. After researching several massage schools in California, Colorado, and Virginia, I decided that National Holistic Institute would be a good fit for me, too. I fell in love with the classes, and the work, and enjoyed my time as a student so much that, after several years working in the profession, I came back to teach. Come sit in on a class that I'm teaching and find out why I love what I do so much!

A life changing school experience with a large range of quality information, amazing techniques, and lessons on the human body. The instructors at this branch are particularly understanding and supportive individuals who do their best to distribute information to their students in whatever method they best receive. A lot of tight-packed classes both online, in lecture, and in action. You get the tools you need to take this career in any direction you choose, and all of the tools needed to become a certified and high-end therapist. The staff who help with tuition set up and general admission are also extremely kind people.
From my own graduating class many of us expected a known classroom experience and were pleasantly surprised and awed to discover a sense community and a healing and comforting space within it.

I love this school!! One of the best decisions I could have made for not only myself but for my future as well. The courses, staff, curriculum, everything about this institute really gave me the tools and knowledge needed to be able to provide therapeutic massage at a high level. Any question, doubt, uncertainty I had, my instructors and staff were there to help me along the way! If they didn't have an answer they would go out their way to find it and get back in touch with me! That's what I enjoyed the most from my school, they do care in helping you achieve your goal and I would recommend NHI to anyone interested in getting starting in finding work they love in massage therapy!

I really enjoyed my time here as a student. It was a wonderful 8 months that I remember fondly.

In my opinion the NHI curriculum is set up to help students learn and build their skills in a safe and manageable way. I truly felt everything that was needed was provided and made available to us. The staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, with many years of experience between them all, and they were happily available to answer questions and assist with any issues related to the field.

I'm very happy I received my education here. As a graduate I feel very confident and capable in my abilities as a Massage Therapist after being educated at NHI!
