I have been at this school for around 3 years and it is pretty enjoyable. The staff teach well, and at the end of the day they have this off-period called collaboration that allows you to study and have extra 1-1 time with the teacher desired. There are multiple extracurriculars such as student government, robotics, math clubs, etc. It is a small school and each grade is in their little bubble. I have made a few friends at this school, and I am sad that it is my last year here. The principal of this school is extremely dedicated, and even responds to emails late at night. She is also the ‘cool’ principal that includes you in everything and treats everyone like her friend. She even lets us play dodgeball at lunch!

We spent more than a year here and we believe we made the right decision. All the teachers and staff here are very friendly to the kids, and our kids really love this place. The entrance exam (for kindergarten) is a little hard as the principal will personally interview each child and their parents. And later on we found out that the principal really dedicated her whole life to this school. She arrives at school before 6 am and helps pickup kids from the parking lot, and still sends emails late at midnight. Any concern regarding safety, covid, injuries at school, you will see her emails within hours. And during covid time this school also have a very good policy. Another bonus is the school provide lunch onsite and each morning you see the Costco truck delivering food here. Other private school ask you to order through 3rd party (so they can save the time and get rid of liability) where your kids only get fast trash food. We feel so lucky that we send our kid here, instead of other larger private schools where it feels more like they are just doing business.

The school really prepares you for being independent in the future, and the regulation on homework is just the right amount. The teachers are understanding, and very kind. There are a couple of students who are insensitive, but overall everyone genuinely cares for one another.

Middle school is trash, some teachers in elementary are ok. Curriculum is as bad or even worse than public schools. Kids are also toxic and badmouth others frequently. Take your child out of this school after 4th grade for their sake

I am giving Monticello academy 2 starts because of the lack of Independence they give to the students and the abundance of homework they give. The only reason I give this school 2 stars is because of the teachers, and how caring they are and how they will go out if their way to help each student. This school does not prepare their kids for high school due to their lack of exposure outside of school, and the lack of independence they give to their students.
