"Janelle did such a beautiful job on my hair and Alyssa did a wonderful job trimming my partner's hair and beard. The hairdressers are students, but they're all under the supervision of the beauty school teachers. I had a great time, and you can tell the students are excited to be there and want to do a good job. And they do The prices are more than fair if you don't mind the students taking a little bit longer. Could not have left happier"

I made an appointment for a haircut which was 2 weeks out. I was 1 minute late for my appointment due to parking. I was told they would be right with me…16 minutes later they asked what they could do for me. I said I had an appointment at 2pm. BTW I said my name and that I had an appointment when I first came in. I was told that I was late to which I replied yes I was 1 minute late. The 2 women just looked at me and were obviously not going to cut my hair, so I left. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! VERY RUDE UNLESS YOU’RE A FRIEND OF SOMEONE THERE!!! I WON’T LET THEM CUT MY DOGS HAIR!!!

Wow - am I happy! 🙂 I went a couple times to a hair dresser to get my hair a certain color and cut, and it just wasn't happening. I wasn't sure if it was me, and I wasn't communicating right, and gave the hair dresser a few times, and realized it was time to move on and find someone who would pay better attention and get my hair done to what I was asking for. Then Empire Beauty College popped into my head. I had gone here like 15 years ago, and remembered that I had a good experience, just that I would need patience as I recalled it took twice the amount of time of a salon. I booked my appointment and wow wow wow am I happy! The one appointment got my hair color the way I had been wanting it for years. The haircut is the BEST cut I have had in so long. The student was very skilled, and paid very close attention to my hair and what she was doing. The teachers were super helpful in guiding her as needed, and checking to make sure she was on point, and asking me if I liked what they were doing. It took about 5 hours for hair color, cut, shampoo/conditioner, blow dry and style...and it was worth the time.. and the service was only $65 total! It would have cost probably $250 at a salon, which I would never pay for. I am so grateful this place exists as it's so fun to watch the students work on their craft, and support the students and school and feel supported with great hair in return! 🙂

Kayla and Veronica helped me today. My return home was canceled, and I needed a wash and style today. They really did a great job. I came away so happy. I would highly recommend this school.

My mom and i have been going here for years and was greatly disappointed how it has changed. Poor customer service and unprofessional. Prices are lower than a regular salon but so is the quality. For just a few dollars more you can get far superior service at a salon. In the past I've been happy to tip generously and had a very positive experience. Too bad management and some teachers have changed:/. We won't be returning.

The student salon there is great. I have gone for a mani pedi, facial and several deep conditioning and blowout or curly style. It is a busy place! Everyone is very kind, the prices are amazing.... So I make sure to tip well. They use top of the line products. You can ask for the same student again but I try for a different one each time, I think it helps them out, and it's pretty cool to interact with these different great kids. I understand they give free haircuts to all local students once a week too 🙂

*STUDENTS BEWARE* Do not go to this school! The staff are maliscious, and unprofessional. I had the worst experience here through and through, but aside from the consistent verbal and emotional abuse, the most important part I want to warn you about is they’re money hungry, and flat out liars! I attended this school, and had a medical emergency, when I let them know I would be missing about 2 weeks they said as long as I have a doctors note, I could come back. When I gave them the doctors note, they told me I was not allowed to come back! Even though I gave them everything they had asked for. They ended up charging me tuition for the time that I wasn’t even there, and sent me to collections. If they would have told me from the beginning that would be too much to miss, that would have been one thing, but they strung me along. I called to get ahold of the director, I spoke with Shanaya who is the front desk person, she refused to put me through to the director to resolve the situation, I wasn’t rude, it’s been a long time and I have no desire to do anything but resolve this issue, and she was extremely unprofessional and maliscious. These are not good people, they definitely lure you in with their facade of how great their school is, but once you’ve signed up, they are rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. Stay far, far away! I wouldn’t wish what happened here to me, on my worst enemy.
