My daughter loves it here - especially the big baby room! She started when she was 4 months old in little baby. I was definitely nervous at first, and there was inconsistency in staff in the little baby room but I feel like it’s just really hard to keep staff with that age babies. Overall I felt safe leaving my daughter there and that she was well cared for. When she moved to big baby around 7 months old we have been SO happy. A lot more consistency and attention to detail. They do lots of art projects and provide good updates and follow my requests. They seem to really care about my child. I had my reservations at first but I am so glad we stuck with Leap n Learn.

I unfortunately had to remove my daughter from here for a few reasons.

My baby started at 12 weeks and when she first started she had a primary teacher who was very attentive, engaging, and constantly had the kids doing activities. Unfortunately this teacher left to be closer to family… very sad for me.

Next lead teacher comes in, a bit scattered brained but ultimately wanted what was best for the kids. We start to get comfortable with the new lead and then one week she just wasn’t there on time for 7am drop off. There was one day in particular that sent me off the deep end… I showed up at 7, got my daughter changed, set up with a play activity, etc. Around 715, still no teacher. I grabbed my daughter and went looking for someone…..no luck until a kind, very frazzled looking teacher from another room approached and said “sorry nobody is here yet, I’ll take Jane” (she had called my child the wrong name).

Fast forward two months, we have gone through 2 lead teachers (both leaving for personal reasons) and I have noticed changes in my daughter that I was not happy with. She was sleeping more during the day, only being changed at the two hour intervals legally required and she would come home with matted/sticky hair from being on her back/ stuck in a swing/ bouncer all day. As a side note, the tub of Vaseline I provided was only used by me when I changed her diaper at drop off and pickup. All of this led to her not sleeping at night, getting sick, and having a large, tender diaper rash. A few weeks before finally pulling her out there were various new teachers in the little baby room who clearly did not have the desire/ skills to be in that room. I do not think the fault is on the teachers in this situation; from what I have learned they are “assigned” a classroom at the beginning of the day, so someone with NO little baby experience could be caring for them. The day I gave our “2 week notice” the teacher in my child’s classroom said “I work in the toddler room, I’ve never been down here, hopefully it won’t be all day.” As an already anxious mom, let me tell you this is not comforting to hear.

First, I do not fault any of the teachers here because I truly think the issues are management based that then fall onto the teachers and ultimately the children are the ones who suffer. As a first time mom, the final 3 weeks I dropped my daughter off for daycare I left with a pit in my stomach wondering “is she going to be ok?” At the end of every day, she was absolutely fine, but I feel like Leap N Learn is a “glorified babysitter”. My baby may be young but there is so much they could be doing to help her learn and develop that just was not done.

I met with management many times, they were calm and understanding of my concerns and yes I do think they tried to help, but at the end of the day I feel that this daycare is too big for the staff they can keep. I wish they would be more child centered and stop pushing for more kids that they CANNOT accommodate.

My nephew has attended Leap n Learn for the last 2 years. He LOVES going to school, some days he doesn’t wanna come home! The teachers have done a great job communicating his needs/his accomplishments. I feel he is safe in their care. Management has been great in regards to communication and any inquiries I may have. I find comfort in knowing he is going somewhere that cares about his growth and allows him to reach his maximum potential. I HIGHLY recommend this facility and their amazing staff.

It looks like the owner is more active in the reviews than emails. If you really have a choice, do not send your little ones to this school. All they care about is the money. They are not professional at all and they lack communication skills or maybe they choose who to respect. I regret all the time my child spent in this school; all they did was neglecting our child and disrespecting us in so many ways!!

Can’t say enough great things about Leap and Learns staff. They take such great care of my daughter. I really enjoy that they send home daily sheets, I love knowing how she did throughout the day!

I'm so glad I rated this center first and then they responded. Because I can base it on the condescending responded Leap n Learn was probably going to give me.
My child was diagnosed by CDS and you kicked us out after that, that falls into discrimination. You tried everything? Because when CDS was ready to intervene, out of the suddenly my child became a safety hazzard to teachers and she was not welcome anymore. You didn't ever let CDS start her proper visits to come up with a proper plan.
In fact, I know for sure her spot was already taken even before we received that termination letter. Her cubby was cleaned out before received that termination letter. All signs pointed that we Leap n Learn was thinking of kicking us out.
Childcare is so difficult to obtain and parents are desperate, and unfortunately they end up in daycares like this one and the after math: a traumatic experience with them and you feel like the worst parent on earth.
Some teachers are great, but they don't last long specifically if they are properly trained humans.

I have been bringing my daughter here since she was 3 months old. As a first time mom I was so nervous leaving her all day. All of the staff are friendly and upbeat. My daughter is almost a year old and I cannot express the amount of gratitude and appreciation for ALL of the teachers at this facility! It’s a really good feeling to see your child smile and immediately crawl to the teachers in excitement. I also LOVE all of the footprint artwork we get- our fridge is full of our daughters artwork! 🙂

We have been attending Leap N Learn since 2017 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My children are LOVED, educated, taught proper manners and respect and have so much fun. Just like anything in life there are ups and downs but we have NEVER had a down that caused us to second guess our choice in early child care. I HIGHLY recommend Leap N Learn to anyone in the Saco/Biddeford area!!
