Aida at Language World is a very exceptional teacher. She has an amazing command both English and Spanish grammar and knows exactly what native English speakers are referring to when asking questions or making typical errors. She is very patient and makes her students feel at home. Language world is a great source for learning....don't even consider spending lots of money with an expensive "total immersion" trip, unless of course you really want to travel. You'll learn a lot more at Language World!

Aida is an excellent teacher. My wife and I have a lot of experience with "foreign" language training. I learned Japanese when I lived in Japan - 5 years of 20 hour per week private lessons, my wife learned English, we both studied Italian together for 11 years and now we are studying Spanish with Aida. I think she's one of the best teachers we've had the pleasure of studying with.

Aida is an excellent teacher and makes learning a new language fun. Her group classes are great, encouraging participation from all. She has been able to been able to adapt quickly to a Zoom platform since COVID, so we can continue our learning experience. The book and handouts are appropriate and relevant. Highly recommend Language World.

My husband and I started Spanish instruction with Aida in 2014. For as long as she continues teaching, we’ll be her students. We first embarked on Spanish instruction in 2013 in simple summer classes in Santa Fe NM, for something to do as a couple. There followed several trips of 1-3 months for Spanish immersion, doing travel programs and language schools in Spain and elsewhere. Always we’ve come home and back to Aida, the best Spanish teacher on the planet. Her own native Spanish is clear, correct, and at a pace perfectly adjusted to the student’s level of comprehension. She is a master of Spanish grammar and colloquialisms, and can clarify points of misunderstanding or incomprehension quickly, in a way that the student will likely remember. She is very congenial and has a terrific sense of humor, traits that encourage students to risk speaking Spanish, and not to fear mistakes. She is alert to any student’s individual proficiency, notes areas where improvement is needed or when it’s time to advance, and tailors the lessons to a student’s long-term goals. For us, every session involves to-and-fro conversations (sort of a “warmup”), individualized worksheets of sentences, expressions, etc., which we translate into Spanish and then review for errors, and lastly a freeform writing exercise, our choice of theme, that we read aloud and she corrects as we go. The “tarea,” or homework, comes to about 2 hours a week, and we devour it, not just because we love it, but also because we want to do it well for Aida. She’s a remarkably talented teacher, and we are lucky to have found her.

I have been taking Spanish from Aida Borom, the proprietess, for a number of years. Aida is an excellent patient teacher, the classes are educational but also enormous fun, which makes learning a language much easier. With the pandemic, we are doing Zoom classes, but the quality of the class remains very high. I would highly recommend this business!

I started taking classes at Language World in September 2019 (11months ago) after a few years of DIY attempts at Spanish with very little advancement not much enjoyment. At Language World, Aida's seasoned teaching skills and radiant personality makes our weekley small class meetings (in person or Zoom) an exiting event. Since I joined, I am steadily advancing in Spanish while enjoying the experience.

I highly recommend Language World. Aida Borom has been my teacher for several years, both in a face-to-face classroom and via Zoom or Skype when I travel. I am taking both a private class and a small group class every week. For me that works best.
She is professional and extremely gifted. She makes the learning fun and we know that people learn better, and more, in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

I love this Spanish class! It is challenging, but fun. Aida knows Spanish grammar! She is patient, but always encouraging us to improve. We have opportunities to speak and to use advanced language in our activities. The time flies. Also, you meet the nicest people in a Spanish class.
