My daughters (now both 19 and 14) have demonstrated that the Kumon method not only leads to academic success, it promotes self-discipline, confidence, perseverance and a life-long love of learning. The Kumon method, as it was explained to me 14 years ago when my oldest daughter was just beginning 1st grade, is like the building blocks to a solid structure. Each level builds on the previous, advancing to the next level when the previous is mastered. My daughters read with comprehension, the hallmark goal of this reading program. They extract more information in their school textbooks than I could ever have at their young age. They’ve learned to problem solve math equations with patience and resolve. All qualities that will serve them well into adulthood. Kumon has prepared my daughters for academic achievement and success in life.

Since joining Kumon in Scotts Valley for my 6 and 8 years old , I have noticed significant improvements in their academic performance. Their grades have improved across both subjects, and they have developed strong study habits that will undoubtedly benefit them in the long run. The instructor at Kumon is highly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. He provides regular feedback on my kid's progress, offering valuable insights into their strengths and areas for improvement. Highly recommended as a parent of two.

Kumon has helped to boost our daughter's confidence even after just two sessions. Our daughter thoroughly enjoys her time and we will be looking to continue this. Marvin from the start has made our daughter feel like she can trust him and made learning fun again. She feels more confident at school too. Thank you for being the best teacher for my daughter. Marvin always motivates his students and gives them presents! He made our life easier and happier! I recommend Kumon for everyone!!!

New Kumon tutoring is opened in Scotts Valley and they are OGCS vendor list now! Our two boys 5th and 2nd graders are taking Math & L. A class that I like about Kumon is they are helping kids to become more independent study by giving homework to do as an important skill. (“Does Homework Help Students Learn? I agree on this point.
"A conversation with a Wheelock researcher, a BU student, and a fourth-grade teacher-Bempechat: I think teachers assign homework in elementary school as a way to help kids develop skills they’ll need when they’re older—to begin to instill a sense of responsibility and to learn planning and organizational skills. That’s what I think is the greatest value of homework—in cultivating beliefs about learning and skills associated with academic success. If we greatly reduce or eliminate homework in elementary school, we deprive kids and parents of opportunities to instill these important learning habits and skills.
We do know that beginning in late middle school, and continuing through high school, there is a strong and positive correlation between homework completion and academic success.”-https://www.bu.edu/articles/2019/is-homework-helpful/)"

Our kids need it to have success in later adult life. Since they have been home-schooling I never gave them homework to do since they do the worksheets every time with me. I know if you give too much homework it will backfire on the kids might hate it so you have to know your kid's limit is very important and Mr.Marwan & Mrs. Sarah the Onwers at Kumon in Scotts Valley constantly make adjustments on home works and talking to our children to figuring out how to make most benefit for kids. They have a rewards program for the kids and of course, they encourage us to have some rewarding programs at home too so that when they are done with homework works little amount as they get they need to be praised, and also it encourages them.
