So the reason I am writing a yelp review , I am current student at IBT more recently I had a problem with school utilizing lender money. I am a minority student. Some how the money disappear than reappear in 6 months. When I started asking questions. Change title 4 after 4 months hoping they would release money to me to send it back to the lender like I am so serious about my credit. When I notice a large amount of money on my credit from lender. Notice extra money hadn't been sent back to lender in February. Talk to Kate the Head director of the school she told me that “I was only trying to buy laptop with the money”. Crazy thing is a went to my vehicle and got my backpack to show her my brought laptop I purchased already back in October. I decided to Called Chief of financial Aide and reached out to CEO. Finally got an email February 27 about money now being sent back to lender. After making a bunch of noise sending emails. Wow Title 4 doesn't matter guys. IBT does whatever they want . To think I was going to do HVAC. How about that's a HUGE NO. Just beware of dealing with these vocational schools. Not all schools are in it for your best interest sometimes just for money interested. Kate is the ring leader . Huge shout out to my Teachers Chris and Paul they really do their job as teachers both with unique teaching skills and Harry is a great director, Andrea Vice principal is a good support system. As for everyone else they scheming. Please don't base your decisions on what I am saying but keep in mind the reviews because I sure wish I would have check before making a serious life decision.

This place is an absolute joke of a school. I went through the entire HVAC program and was taught so little that it is hard to get entry level jobs making $17 an hour. I am 34 years old and am at the higher end of my current career as a chef making $33 an hour, how am I supposed to be ok with that kind of difference in pay?

I was sold by Mike the idea that after attending this school that I would be qualified to be a technician, not an entry level grunt taking a massive pay cut. I could have done that by just applying for jobs instead I foolishly paid these people $18,000 to watch the teacher sleep in class, pass everyone even if they didn’t show up, be taught with YouTube videos that I could watch for free at home, watch the teacher let everyone cheat on the EPA exam, and be left with no direction after graduating. I went here to learn the things I needed to start a career as an HVAC Technician and left with nothing.

If you are thinking of attending this “school” then you should reconsider since it is just a business that is scamming you for money. Do yourself a favor and watch the YouTube videos at home for free. I have the whole playlist saved if you want to save $18,000.

Please Be aware of this school, .The initial interaction with Mike(admission Representative) set a negative tone that persisted throughout my experience. I hope the administration takes serious steps to improve their processes and provide better support for their students. Until then, I cannot recommend this college to anyone. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. The level of confusion and lack of organization is astonishing. As a student, I expected clear communication and support, but instead, I encountered the opposite.

I enjoyed my time at IBT. It went by quick, and you meet a lot of good people there. The HVAC class teaches enough for folks getting into the field, and the lab provided an enjoyable hands-on experience.

I was young and naive believing this school would help with my new career as a sonagrapher. SMH read the contract, and it will tell you it’s a double edge sword. Don’t go to this school, particularly for Sonography program. It was so inconsistent, they fed me lies and so disorganized. I paid my tuition in full and on time. I am highly disappointed and wished I have withdrawn, but I ignored the bad signs. I believed in this school, but I have been betrayed. Ask for drop out rates, graduation rates. This is not CAAHEP accredite, and you have to take the harder way. They do not guarantee job placement. Trust me, other school will put you in the job placement GUARANTEED. This one does not. Also, their teaching methods? Horrible. Just passes everybody and I don’t feel comfortable because I didn’t earn it. They just want it for their credibility. Save your money, and invest in better school.

This school was definitely worth going to. I enjoyed my time with my teacher and classmates and was able to learn everything I needed to help me out in the real world. Now I am working in the field that I dreamed of and am motivated to keep going with my education thanks to the amazing staff at IBT.

Went to IBT for the Lab Program. The instructor Dr.Yasir and Mrs.Laudena were the teachers when I went (2015-2016) and it was absolutely perfect. You go for 9 months that include your externship and you learn everything you need to know about Phlebotomy and as a bonus you get to do EKG and Lab. I went to a horrible school before and coming here may seem like a LONG time - but those 9 months fly by soo quick, it makes it absolutely worth it. I passed my State Exam *CPT-1* by coming to this school. I was able to do my externship 3 days after my last day of school and the whole process is a breeze. I owe my education to this school - if you are truly thinking about changing your life, or change from just a Job to a Career.... This is the school to make sure you get there. As long as you put in the work, these instructors are #1 the best!
