Hubs and I happen to be driving through Angels Camp and stopped at the grocery store. As we were driving away, we spotted a shopfront with wood furniture and planters for purchase. Classic, clean lines. Beautiful pieces that did not seem to be factory produced. So of course we stopped to check it out.

Hide and Barrel was the name of the business. We looked at the planters and an outdoor chair that were displayed outside the shop. They were beautifully crafted. I was surprised at the prices, surprised that they were lower than I anticipated. We then ventured inside. We found out the shop is not a retail shop but a work shop where the owner/craftsman, Rob, custom crafts wood furniture and decor.

Rob took the time to chat with us which was super kind of him. He can custom make anything from wood…cutting boards, bed frames, dining table sets… you name it.

Rob and Morgan helped to create the perfect wedding gift for my best friend! I explained everything I was looking for in a custom charcuterie board and they exceeded my expectations, with great communication the entire time! I would highly recommend this business if you’re looking for something custom and well made.

Morgan and Robert are so very nice and helpful. They make you feel so welcome the minute you enter their warehouse. They create some amazing works of art. Robert’s skill and Morgan’s creativity is superb. We love everything we bought from them. My absolute favorite is the wood lantern with interchangeable inserts.
