Ken was amazing with my dog, but more importantly he was amazing with me. I am a senior citizen who has an American Pocket Bully. Ken had to help me understand that repetition and consistency is key in dog training. At the time he started working with us, Buster was only six months old. Ken was very patient with me. I would definitely recommend Ken as a trainer. Training with a “bully” is a constant process and we are doing good.

I cannot recommend Ken enough as a dog trainer! His extensive knowledge of dog behaviors is truly impressive, and he has an uncanny ability to understand and address each dog's unique needs. Ken is incredibly responsive to questions, always providing detailed and thoughtful answers. His flexibility with scheduling makes it easy to fit training sessions into even the busiest of schedules. What sets Ken apart is his personalized approach—he tailors each lesson to suit both the dog and the trainer, ensuring that everyone involved is comfortable and progressing at the right pace. If you're looking for a top-notch dog trainer who will exceed your expectations, Ken is the one to call!

We contacted Ken due to our dog’s reactivity to other dogs and some other behavioral concerns. I cannot believe the progress we’ve made in only 6 sessions. Our dog is much happier and so is the whole dynamic in our household. Ken is friendly, knowledgeable, generous with his time, and you can tell he cares a lot about his craft.
We also appreciated that he uses the LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive) method instead of rushing into a shock collar or anything like that. Although, he did seem very well informed about using that as an option if necessary but it wasn’t for us.
I would highly recommend Ken for anyone looking for a trainer. It was a bit of a hike for us, about an hour drive, but totally worth the time, money, and effort. We’re very grateful to have found such a wonderful person and trainer!

Very satisfied with my course and experience with Heart of Dixie, Ken always took his time and was patient. I loved the one on one training and thought that did a lot for my and my dogs overall relationship. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a basic obedience course!

Looking for someone who has passion for dog training and knows their field? Look no further! Ken was excellent with my Chinese Crested, who can be challenging! I like that he actually has you doing the training with him and your dog, versus the method of dropping your dog off somewhere for weeks at a time.
Ken is knowledgeable, patient, flexible, hands on and always there if you have a question. I hate our training had to end at 5 weeks!

I spent a good amount of time looking at all the dog training places around Enterprise and 10/10 would recommend Heart of Dixie Dog Training. Everything in this area imo is so over priced. But this price point was right on.

My now 7 month old German shepherd puppy started training just before he turned 6 months and was becoming a lot to handle. I had already started training my puppy on my own and honestly I wasn't sure what I was gonna get out of this experience at first. I didn't need someone to help me with sit, stay, down. I needed someone to help me with my high energy puppy who wanted to pull me down the road while we were going on walks or when he saw another dog because he would just get so excited.

In the 5 weeks I've been working with Ken, I honestly feel as though I have a new puppy. At first I thought this is a waste of my time, but in the process I was also being trained myself. The last puppy I had was about 12 years ago and I don't remember it being so mentally draining to train a puppy. But within 5 weeks and the things I learned about my puppy and about how to train him, there's no pulling on the leash and he's not a crazy puppy trying to run after things.

Obviously all of his problems are not solved and that is because he's 7 months old and I'm still gonna have to work with him, but I know how to work with my puppy now because I worked with Ken at Heart of Dixie Dog Training. Like I said 10/10 would recommend.

Call Ken today, do not hesitate if you're looking for training for your dog...you'll learn so much about dog behavior and how your behavior influences your dog. Highly recommend Ken for all issues about a dog, particularly behaviors that you need to address. We finished Phase I training basic obedience, but Ken helped us with so much more with our dog who we adopted from the shelter. I have less stress and felt so confident after our first meeting. Very worth the cost to come to your house and train the dog in its environment. We are forever grateful to Ken for helping us become a dog family!

Training with Ken was a good experience. He taught us a lot about our puppy. Rosie was a quick learner. She loved Ken.
