I took Hans Duus' 2 hour introductory forging workshop recently. I learned a whole lot and can't wait to start applying my new knowledge as a hobby. He guided me through the creation of a dinner bell (triangle). I learned how to draw out the steel into a point, create a scroll, and apply hot/cold bending techniques using the forge as well as jigs. It is now a beautiful fixture on my BBQ deck!

His 10000 ft workshop is an incredible place to visit! There are loads of beautiful light fixtures, intricate leaf work, and equipment to gaze at. I truly learned a lot about forging. He is patient and a gifted teacher. I hope to be back soon!

I visited Hans Duus' showroom in Santa Marie and fell in love with a lighting fixture there. After much discussion and measuring I purchased it and had it shipped to my home in Virginia. It is beautiful and I love it. Hans is professional, friendly, and obviously extremely talented. Visiting his showroom was like being at an art exhibit! The lighting fixture was expertly and carefully packaged, and arrived quickly and safely, nestled in its packing material. It was quick and easy to install, and looks absolutely beautiful. It really dresses up the formerly rather plain entryway to my house. It looks good with the light off, but at night when it's turned on, wow the transformation is amazing. I am so proud to have it, and it makes me smile every time I see it. Thank you Hans!

If I could give him a 0 I would. My company sent him a check for a 50% deposit for custom lanterns in May of 2023. These were to be a donation for a local school and they matched a pair the he had made for us a number of years ago. We had several conversations prior to placing the order but the moment that we sent the check they have not responded to a single email, phone call or text. We have both the office and cell numbers but everything goes to voice mail without response. We are past the delivery date provided on his PO.
