Fantastic facility for the ceramic artist to the beginner! All levels create this artistic, friendly community. Brand new 10^ kilns > throwing and hand-building classes for every level (Tue–Sat open studio hours help to deepen your practice) > great clay and glaze palette > and a knowledgable staff that's ready to answer questions. Firings are on a schedule and studio is clean! Large retail store with samples you can touch. A new ceramic culture is brewing here!

I’ve completed two sessions of classes at G&B and I’m looking forward to my third! The teachers, studio staff, and members here are all so welcoming and kind. Getting into a new hobby or craft can be daunting, but this studio is so well laid out and ran that everything just makes sense. Everybody I’ve had the chance to chat with at the studio has been so encouraging and inspiring, and the community of members seems quite tight knit, so I can see why there’s a wait list to join. Whether you’re brand new to pottery or a professional, I think this studio will have everything you need and more 🙂

It is extremely unfortunate that I have to write a bad review for this business. I was honestly extremely excited to participate in a few clay classes with my daughter. I research many places including many 5mins from my home. However, they seem the best fit for us.
I was extremely disappointed to find out that I was wrong and that all they care about is the money. There is no human empathy or kindness.
I paid $600 for a series of five one hour classes with my teenage daughter. They were very quick to sell me a good plan and how this would be a good experience for both of us. I was never given a contract or explained any regulations. I was only explained the hours and the fact that we can stay for as long as we need to after our class to complete our clay pieces. We attended two classes but unfortunately I was involved in a near death vehicle accident that left me extremely fearful of driving. We live 45mins away from their studio which made it difficult for us to return. Since, I was never informed about any of their policies or have a contract to go by, I was not aware that I must finish my series within 90days. I called to try to resume our paid package and complete the last 3 classes left. However, I was told I should have finished them within 90 days from purchase. It is disheartening to find out that not only I ended up getting ripped off but that they lack empathy and human kindness and understanding. After having to hear a whole speech about how I should have called sooner I felt the place was not right for us and the experience I was hoping for.
Obviously, they took my money, $600 for 2 classes and gave me a talk about what I should have done. Disappointing, upsetting and a total rip off.

I took a session last year and although I enjoyed the people and it was an extremely nice place. I didn't feel like I learned anything. The majority of people in the class had done a session several times and didn't need instruction. My guess would be that paying for a session is cheaper than a membership but I think it really holds the class back from being an actual class and also makes it difficult to even grab a spot. I also took classes at another studio back east, and I honestly did not enjoy the clay GB provided to the students. It was extremely gritty and coarse. Pretty pricey for the quality of clay and the fact that you have to buy your own set of tools which isn't included in the class. I haven't bothered with classes since because I found it discouraging.

I love this ceramic studio! I learned everything I know about pottery there. The classes are incredible with extremely knowledgeable teachers. I'm a member now, which offers great freedom of access. The place is very well maintained, and everyone is respectful of each other. The best part, though, is its inspiring community. It's a pleasure to be around such great artists.

My partner and I took a series of private lessons at Green & Bisque Clayhouse, and were not impressed. Their entire operation seems haphazardly run. Instructors arrived unaware of what my partner and I wanted to work on, despite our multiple communications with the office about what techniques we hoped to develop in each class. This disconnect meant that sometimes we were paired with instructors who seemed ill equipped to give adequate instruction. Sometimes we couldn't find pieces that we had completed in previous classes, and because G&B doesn't appear to have a comprehensive tracking or organization system, we were given "best guesses" as to where on the premises our pieces might be. Once, we showed up ready to trim, only to be told the pieces had already been fired. Another time, we learned that our finished pieces had been sitting on a shelf for an unknown amount of time, despite being told that we would receive a phone call when they were ready for pickup. We advise looking elsewhere for instruction.

Became a member this year and it was the best decision I've made! The facility, staff and community is amazing! It's an incredible space to work in especially for beginners and advanced ceramic makers ? Consider taking classes here, you won't regret it!!!
